What’s the status on True Detective and The Night Of? Recently, HBO chief Casey Bloys spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the future of the two TV series.

Earlier, Bloys said he definitely wants a second season of The Night Of. And this summer, the HBO boss said the network was hoping for a third season of True Detective despite the lackluster response to season two.

In his interview with EW, Bloys said the network is still interested in both series. However, they’re still in the development stage:

They’re thinking about ideas, and when they find something, that’s when I’ll hear from them. I don’t have anything to report on either of them other than they’re thinking about what the best-next version is.”
