Some bittersweet news for Will & Grace fans. Recently, star Debra Messing revealed there are currently no official plans for a ninth season of the NBC sitcom, TVInsider reports.
News of a revival has been in the air since last fall, when the core cast reunited for a mini episode about the presidential election. Immediately after the 10-minute video was released, stars Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally, and Sean Hayes all expressed interest in filming more episodes.
Most recently, cast member Leslie Jordan told radio station KPBS that NBC has already ordered 10 new episodes of the sitcom, with production slated to begin this summer. However, Debra Messing took Jordan to task on Twitter yesterday, saying there have been no episode orders and the revival is “nothing beyond talks” at the moment.
Sadly Leslie was wrong. Nothing beyond talks. https://t.co/NDmKoH2Iql
