Freeform no longer has an appetite for Young & Hungry. Today, star Emily Osment revealed the TV show has been cancelled after five seasons.
The comedy stars Osment as Gabi Diamond, a food blogger who becomes the personal chef of wealthy tech entrepreneur Josh Xander Kaminski (Jonathan Sadowski). The cast also includes Aimee Carrero, Kym Whitley, and Rex Lee, and Bryan Safi.
On Twitter, Osment announced the final 10 episodes of Young & Hungry‘s fifth season will be the end for the Freeform TV show. As of now, it is unclear when those episodes will air but they are expected to premiere sometime later this year. The first half of season five wrapped back in May 2017.

I binge watched all 5 seasons in 3 days . This show can’t be cancelled ! It is funny and honest and a very real show. I totally need to know how Gabi and Josh work out !

I love Young and Hungry. Why does it have to end so soon. I want to see more of Josh and Gabby relationship. This show is very addictive. I love every episode. Gabby is beautiful and Josh is so gorgeous and sexy. Why cancellation? I want to see more and more episodes. Please don’t cancell the show. I want more shows. I want more of Gabby and Josh and Alan and Elliot the whole crew. This show is the best.

Love Young and Hungry i benged watched it for 3 weeks striaght on Netflix. I was watching the show instead of typing my sociology paper. I need to kniw what happens with Josh and Gabby!!!! Please bring it back.
Whenever a good clean show comes on it doesn’t last. Some of us prefer this type of show. I don’t like reality TV. Give us another season, please!!!!

Maybe Netflix will pick it up and produce a few seasons. There is an audience for this show.

Freeform appears to be ditching situation comedies. Sad for fans of Young & Hungry, but this decision makes sense with the way the channel’s programming is scheduled.
If a show airs episodes a year after the prior episodes ran, then it’s a new season, no matter what you call it. It’s the calendar that determines these things, not the producers.
My family watched it every week when it was on. Love the show. It’s a clean and funny show. There isn’t many out there. I would like it to still be on. Please.
