Last season FOX tried airing live-action sitcoms on Sunday nights with their animated series. Their gamble paid off and Brooklyn Nine-Nine was renewed. How will the ratings go this time around? Will it be renewed for a fourth season or will it be cancelled instead? Stay tuned.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine follows a group of unique detectives and officers at the NYPD’s 99th Precinct. The sitcom’s cast includes Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, Stephanie Beatriz, Chelsea Peretti, Dirk Blocker, and Joel McKinnon Miller.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
3/24 update: FOX has renewed this comedy series for a fourth season. Details here.
4/20 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The second season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine averaged a 1.69 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.54 million total viewers.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the Brooklyn Nine-Nine TV show? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?
Fox really screwed the pooch moving Brooklyn 99. It had a 1.7 three weeks in a row in the demo on Sunday and now is drawing 1.0-1.1. I could understand moving it if its replacement got in that ballpark, but Cooper Barrett is already down to a 1.2. I get that football inflated Brooklyn 99 a bit, but it seems Fox really hurt themselves moving the show.
The comparison is wrong. You have compared ratings to the first season.
Thanks for spotting that. It’s been a long premiere week.
Actually episode 16 got a 0.92 or 0.921 to be exact, it says here.
