Bull: CBS Orders New Michael Weatherly Series

by Jessica Pena, May 13, 2016

NCIS

Michael Weatherly is staying on CBS. According to Deadline, the network has ordered a new series featuring the NCIS star titled Bull.

Weatherly is leaving NCIS this year after 13 seasons on the crime procedural.

From executive producers Dr. Phillip C. McGraw and Steven Spielberg, Bull is a “drama inspired by the early career of Dr. Phil McGraw as the founder of one of the most prolific trial consulting firms of all time. Brilliant, brash and charming, Dr. Bull (Michael Weatherly) is the ultimate puppet master as he combines psychology, human intuition and high tech data to learn what makes jurors, attorneys, witnesses and the accused tick.”

The cast also includes Freddy Rodriguez, Geneva Carr, Chris Jackson, Jaime Lee Kirchner, Annabelle Attanasio.

What do you think? Are you a Dr. Phil fan? Will you watch Bull?

I will watch the first few only because Michael is in it. I am not a fan of Dr Phil at alk. I love Tony and think he and Gibbs made that show a success. I’ll miss you. Good luck in your future Michael. Hope you come back.

Really hate to see Michael Weatherly leave NCIS. Love his character. But he is probably right about the time to go. I hope he is able to make guest appearances. The last show was heartbreaking but also allows the character to move on with hope. Good luck Michael, I hope your new series is a great success! Take care.

Good luck Michael, really enjoyed your character on NCIS and you will be missed. Hope I still will look forward to tue nights CBS as I did with you in it. It looks like it was left open for you to have guest spots once in a while. There is hope for all of us who care if you come back. I hope your real personality is somewhat like Tony’s. He was GEM. Yes I will watch your new show. The first opening show is always the toughest. Not enough info about what’s to come in the future. Mini movies… Read more »

Hated to see MW leave NCIS, but like his acting enough to give the new series a try. Also love Dr Phil, and very interested in the story about his early career.

Enjoy Dr Phil show along with his antics, southern values and tell it like it is attitude. With Bull based on Dr Phil ” Michael Weatherly will be an awesome Dr Bull. Gonna miss Tony but congratulations on your new series

Not a Dr. Phil show fan, but am fascinated by his former career, and love Michael Weatherly as an actor. So glad he will have a show with such an interesting premise (and solid producer!)

This should capture ex “Good Wife” fans. Weatherly is perfect for the part.

I would definitely watch it. I like Michael Weatherly very much. Bull sounds like an interesting show that is story driven and character driven as well…one can hope it will be. That’s the type of show I will watch…very sick of vampires, reality shows, aliens etc
It’s all about the story…like little novels on TV.

I would probably watch it to see how Michael Weatherly is in a new roll. I’m sure he’ll be fantastic but he is so awesome in his roll on NCIS and the cast is so magical, especially his relationship with Mark Harmon I just can’t imagine it without him. It breaks my heart to think of it without him.
