Dick Wolf’s Chicago franchise shows no signs of slowing down. Today, it was revealed that NBC had renewed Chicago Med for a third season.
The medical drama is set at Chicago’s new state-of-the-art trauma center and revolves around the doctors, nurses, and staff members who treat the most severe trauma cases. The cast includes Oliver Platt, S. Epatha Merkerson, Nick Gehlfuss, Yaya DaCosta, Colin Donnell, Brian Tee, Torrey DeVitto, Rachel DiPillo, and Marlyne Barrett.
Chicago Med has been a steady performer for NBC over the past two seasons. Despite a drop in ratings, season two averaged a decent 1.24 in the 18-49 demo and 6.65 million viewers, making it one of the network’s most-watched series for the 2016-2017 season.
Sister series Chicago Fire and Chicago PD were also renewed today but there’s no word on Chicago Justice yet.

I like Chicago Med. It is my favorite next to Chicago PD. Will we still get the same amount of programs because it is starting SO late in the season? Chicago Justice could work of you had new characters. The characters were not believeable.
I love Chicago med,Chicago Fire and Chicago Pd and I don’t like Chicago justice .But please bring back Chicago med

One of the better shows on TV. Love the show as I do Chicago Fire. Been waiting to see it this year (2017-2018.)
I love this show! The actors are really good with meaningful plot lines. It’s a great addition to the already terrific Chicago PD and Chicago Fire. Can’t wait for season 3 to start!

I enjoy all 4 of the Chicago series including Chicago Med and Chicago Justice. Wish it wasn’t taking sooo long for these 2 shows to begin airing.
I love this show and all the people on it. I love the crossover in all the Chicago shows. So real and emotional. I feel like I know these people personally. Would be a shame to not renew all of them.
