While many network TV shows lost a lot of “live” viewers last season, NBC’s Chicago PD beat the odds and held steady in season three. How will it do in the ratings this time around? Could it be cancelled or will it surely be renewed for a fifth season? Stay tuned.
Chicago PD follows the men and women of the Chicago Police Department’s District 21 who pursue the perpetrators of major street crimes in the “Windy City.” Detective Sgt. Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) is at the heart of the war on crime in Chicago and will do anything to bring criminals to justice. The series also features the talents of Sophia Bush, Patrick John Flueger, LaRoyce Hawkins, Elias Koteas, Jon Seda, Jesse Lee Soffer, Marina Squerciati, and Amy Morton.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/18 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The third season of Chicago PD averaged a 1.55 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.88 million viewers (live + same day ratings).
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the Chicago PD TV series? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for a fifth season on NBC?

Definately renew Chicago PD. Consistently off our seats with this show. Love it, personally the best of the Chicago series
Please renew
I’m so very disappointed that they made the decision to get rid of the one African American officer on the team! Shameful. I love this show, never missed an episode but after tonight I will no longer tune in to any of the Chicago series.
They didn’t get rid of anyone. If you are referring to Atwater, he is still on the show.
Atwater is still on the show. He’s a Chicago native, they will not release him.
Seriously grow up! Judging the show based on a personal biast? How racist are you!!!
Please renew Chicago pd…one of the best shows on television right now. All of the Chicage series are really good. .keep them all on
This started out good but has become boring. With another series added to the franchise, I think it’s just too much.
PD is the best of the One Chicago series… It’s so gritty and socially & politically relevant. I want this this one to last like SVU!
One of my favorite shows! I never watch anything on live tv but the Chicago trilogy is never left on my dvr.
PLEASE renew Chicago P.D.!!! Make 1,000 seasons! I love every actor and actress! I’d be lost without my favorite show! #loveChicagoP.D.
I agree 100%. This show has me on the edge of my seat every week. I got on a late start with this show ( I just finished season 3 two weeks ago) and I can’t possibly understand how people stayed alive between seasons. I feel the absolute same way with Fire, possibly stronger. If these shows are deleted then so is my dignity
PLEASE renew Chicago P.D.!!!! I NEVER want the show to end! I’d be lost without my favorite show! I absolutely love every actor and actress! Make 1,000 seasons!
Not good. Someone need to figure out why.
