canceled + renewed TV shows - TV Series Finale

Code Black: Cancelled CBS Medical Series to Have Closure

by Jessica Pena, June 27, 2018

Release date: Code Black TV show on CBS: season 3 premiere date (canceled or renewed?)

(CBS)

What’s in store for the end of Code Black? Recently, executive producer Michael Seitzman spoke with TVLine about the CBS TV show’s upcoming series finale.

As reported earlier, the network has cancelled the medical drama after three seasons. The cast includes Marcia Gay Harden, Luis Guzmán, Boris Kodjoe, Harry Ford, Benjamin Hollingsworth, William Allen Young, Emily Tyra, Noah Gray-Cabey, Emily Alyn Lind, Moon Bloodgood, and Rob Lowe.

In the interview, Seitzman revealed there will be some closure for the series finale of Code Black, which is slated to air on CBS on July 18th at 10 p.m. ET/PT:

At the end of every season, we’ve ended the season to be a story ender for everybody so there’s a sense of closure not just among the audience who we make the show for but also for ourselves. The third season had the added specter of a possible cancellation, which made it more urgent for us to create something for every story that felt like an ending to some degree.”

Well written story lines. Always feel a connection with the cast and their new patients. So sad show has been cancelled. One of the best on tv. Of course, this always happens!!!

What will be left after CBS decides what is good tv or not. They have cancelled mostly all the good ones. No more comedies or sports, please.. TV is all sports anymore!!!!!

I don’t want it to end!! Of all the shows that will be cancelled, this should not be one of them. Other medical shows don’t even compare with the fast pace or good drama that Code Black gives us every week…

It seems as of late the networks don’t allow shows to develope there just cancelled. What happened to the making of shows like Grays Anatomy, NCIS and others like ER or Tookie Blue. That at least ran for many more years than today’s shows. I think to many good shows get canceled then replaced with really short term ones. It’s like your in this year and out the next and it’s really just sad

WHY in the world is it ending??? It’s 10 X’s better than other medical shows out there. Dumb move on the part of decision makers. Actors are great, good chemistry, good storylines, scenes that seem true to life…… What a loss.

I think it’s terrible that it’s ending. It is, no doubt, my most favorite of all medical series. What in the world am I going to do on a Wednesday night from then on!!!

Really ‘got into’ the show this week. Don’t think I’ve cried that hard since losing my cat.

Code Black is one of the few programs that is not based on guns, shooting, murder. Yeah there are accidents, and crime victims, but not the shooting which is getting way to common in today’s life.

It was stupid of CBS to cancel this show. It should have been renewed for summer. CODE BLACK has higher ratings than a number of shows they renewed.
