Last year, the Criminal Minds TV show didn’t rack up the greatest ratings for CBS. It ranked 11th out of the network’s scripted series when sorted by its demo numbers and 19th (out of 26), in terms of average total audience. As the 14th season premieres with the 300th episode, it is still unclear how long this season will be. So far, the network has only ordered 15 episodes, but CBS Entertainment chief Kelly Kahl said that could change, yet still indicated they haven’t decided whether this will be the final season. So, will Criminal Minds be cancelled or renewed for season 15? Stay tuned. **Status update below.
A CBS law enforcement procedural, Criminal Minds stars Joe Mantegna, Paget Brewster, Matthew Gray Gubler, A.J. Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, Adam Rodriguez, Daniel Henney, and Aisha Tyler. The crime drama follows the FBI’s elite Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) out of Quantico, Virginia. The BAU remains dedicated to understanding predators’ motive and triggers, in order to stop them before they strike again.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. For comparisons: The 13th season of Criminal Minds averaged a 0.99 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.730 million total viewers (live + same day ratings).

Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. He kicked a producer I’m sure many say that he was assaulted. The show was great with him though, I completely agree on wanting him back. He brought a lot of positivity to the screen very relatable and all aspects.
I CAN NOT imagine watching CBS Wed night without criminal minds….. EVER!!! Ice been watching this show with my mom from the beginning. As hard as it was to except Hodge and Morgan leaving the show and thinking there’s no way it’ll continue to keep us anticipating the next new episode. It’s definitely different now, but it still continues to keep us wanting more each week. Watching the show all these years we couldn’t turn our back on Reed, Penelope, J.J, Prentiss and Rossi. I don’t have a TV I watch on All Access, but when I had a TV it was one of my favorites, and is still one of my favorites! I always liked it better than NCIS and that includes the other versions too! I have rewatched this series many times on Netflix, because even though I can usually remember the cases, I still enjoy it and enjoy the enter actions of the characters! And it hasn’t changed, my favorites on it are JJ, Emily and Garcia, though I love them all, so as long as they are still in it… Read more »
Yes! It should be renewed! They have taken a different direction with their storylines and I think it’s great! I look forward to every Wednesday. I own every series. It’s a great show. It took some getting use to when Shemar Moore left, but they were creative and pulled it thru. RENEW
These aren’t the kind of live ratings that will get this show renewed. They are atrocious. Chicago PD must be destroying this in the ratings. If these ratings don’t get better, it is a GONER. Count on it.

I am a fan. Been watching since first episodes. Really like the ensemble. I’ll interesting actors, they bring more to the show.
Renew the show for another season! It’s been on since I was 12, I’m invested in these characters’ lives! It’s an amazing procedural drama and if NCIS can have like 20 seasons, as can CSI: and SVU, I don’t see why Criminal Minds can’t either.
I love to see Criminal Minds be renewed for the 15th season. It seems that each episode is getting better.
Still loving Criminal Minds. Just watched The Tall Man directed by Matthew Gray Gubler. He knocked it out of the ballpark again! Excellent show. Thrilling to the end. Please keep the show going.
FYI I still think it’s very deceiving that you only look at 18 to 49 yo as your viewing audience. That’s just wrong. There are a lot of people over 49 who really love this show. 18-49yo’s are not the only ones who watch tv.
I still love Criminal Minds. It’s the best in tv. I especially love Reid. 300 was amazing. I want more of Criminal Minds. I want to see where it goes with Reid and with Garcia. I am very upset that you only seem to be concerned about the 18-49 demographic. The rest of us love this show too and our viewership should count just as strongly. I love love love this show. The only show I watch online. I do not own a tv. Did not view last night’s yet. The season opener was outstanding. Excellent as always. JJ and Spencer as always exceptional and special. Showed their history. Also with Garcia. Tremendous team comaradarie. I believe it should have more episodes this season and be picked up for a 15th. To me I think cbs is trying to kill the show you don’t hardly see any commercials for the show I noticed it’s the same shows they promote over and over.it needs more promotion.its still a good show. It’s always Big Bang theory NCIS young Shelton etc.then I see overand over survivor and seal team advertised together and no criminal minds it’s on the same nite makes no sense to me

I think that a lot of people do what I do and dvr this when they can’t watch it the exact time of and I think that that should be reflected in the ratings but I don’t think they count those cause I still love this show but I can hardly watch it the exact time it comes on but I think they need to count the dvr recordings too so this doesn’t end up being cancelled cause that would make me sad
