Last year, the Criminal Minds TV show didn’t rack up the greatest ratings for CBS. It ranked 11th out of the network’s scripted series when sorted by its demo numbers and 19th (out of 26), in terms of average total audience. As the 14th season premieres with the 300th episode, it is still unclear how long this season will be. So far, the network has only ordered 15 episodes, but CBS Entertainment chief Kelly Kahl said that could change, yet still indicated they haven’t decided whether this will be the final season. So, will Criminal Minds be cancelled or renewed for season 15? Stay tuned. **Status update below.
A CBS law enforcement procedural, Criminal Minds stars Joe Mantegna, Paget Brewster, Matthew Gray Gubler, A.J. Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, Adam Rodriguez, Daniel Henney, and Aisha Tyler. The crime drama follows the FBI’s elite Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) out of Quantico, Virginia. The BAU remains dedicated to understanding predators’ motive and triggers, in order to stop them before they strike again.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. For comparisons: The 13th season of Criminal Minds averaged a 0.99 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.730 million total viewers (live + same day ratings).

This was my favorite show until they got rid of Hotch. The show was never the same after that. They all fit together so well.

I am setting up my email for communication.
I love all of the original seasons 1 through beginning of 12. The writing and directing started to go down right after Thomas Gibson was let go. I guess he was trying to prevent the downgrade of the plot writing and in consequences was dismissed from the show. As much as I used to love this show, the last scene from “Truth or Dare” episode made me feel glad that the series are ending. 300th episode was written and directed pretty lame too.
This is my favorite show. Yes it should have a 15th Season, and 16th and ….
The writing is weak and lane
Time to end the series gracefully.

I love criminal minds. My all time favorite show. I like all the investigative shows bit this is without a doubt my favorite. I DVR and watch on demand if someone else is recording something. Definitely need a 15Th season. I fall within the 18-49 demographic but also think that all viewers should count. The show is way too good. Missed most of season 13 but haven’t missed one episode of 14. We need more air time to get more viewers, more reruns of recent episodes and old ones.
I also love this show. I do miss Shamar. Baby girl needs him. Lol great together. Also miss Hoch.
I haven’t watched criminal minds since Shamar Moore’s left. After the actor who played Hotch left, that put the nail in the coffin for me.
The same thing happened with NCIS’ Ziva then Tony.
Who cares? Matthew Gray Gubler is leaving the show anyway after this season, which is official now.
He was even removed from the list of regular cast.
And when that news was coming out, the rating dropped hard.
No body cared about Morgan who was always unpopular, which proved by the rating of S13 and S11 eps w/o him.
Reid and Hotch were always the show’s hearts.
W/O them, the show is irrelevant for most of viewers and silent majority of remaining fans.
Just cancel the crap already and let Matthew free like he should have been years ago.

I really love Criminal Minds and am vert upset that the upcoming season will be the last. I think that it was better with Thomas Gibson in it hut still I watch it faithfully every Wednesday night’s. This is my favorite show and am crushed if they take it off the air. I also lo love Matthew Gray Gubler and hope they change their minds and not cancel the show.
