ABC has another survivor. Deadline reports that Adan Canto has been cast in the network’s new drama, Designated Survivor. 

Canto will join Kiefer Sutherland, Kal Penn, and Natascha McElhone in the political thriller.

From writer David Guggenheim, Designated Survivor stars Sutherland as Tom Kirkman, “a lower level United States Cabinet member who is suddenly appointed President after a catastrophic attack during the State of the Union kills everyone above him in the Presidential line of succession.”

Canto will reportedly star as Aaron, Kirkman’s deputy Chief of Staff.
