Hooten & The Lady is headed across the pond. According to The Hollywood Reporter, The CW has acquired the Sky One TV series.
The UK drama “follows the escapades of American maverick adventurer and treasure hunter Hooten, played by Michael Landes (CSI, Love Soup), and a British historical expert, Lady Alexandra, portrayed by Ophelia Lovibond (Elementary).” Jane Seymour, Jessica Hynes, and Shaun Parkes also star.
The deal with The CW is the first of its kind for Sky. The UK network’s director of sales, Leona Connell, said:
Here at Sky Vision we’re delighted that The CW will be the home of Hooten & the Lady in the U.S., we believe this high-octane adventure drama is a perfect fit for the network. The series was a huge hit with the Sky 1 audience in the U.K., and we hope viewers of The CW will love it just as much.”
The CW has not announced yet when season one of Hooten & The Lady will air in the U.S. Season one of the series finished airing in the UK last November.
