It looks like Humans is going extinct. Deadline reports the AMC/Channel 4 TV show has been cancelled after three seasons.
The UK drama series is set in a parallel present, where the latest must-have gadget for any home is a Synthetic. What happens though, when the “Synths” are imbued with consciousness and free will? The artificial intelligence series explores the potential consequences of blurring the lines between human and machine. The cast includes Gemma Chan, Ivanno Jeremiah, Katherine Parkinson, Tom Goodman-Hill, and Emily Berrington.
Ratings were never particularly high for Humans, so it’s not surprising AMC and Channel 4 have decided to cancel it. Season three averaged only .08 rating in the 18-49 demo and 353,000 viewers.

Sadly, there won’t be a fourth season of Humans. In this age of unprecedented choice and competition, we can have no complaints. Channel 4 and AMC were the perfect partners. They supported the show brilliantly and above all – let us make three seasons. We’re gutted, of course, but we were so lucky. We got to make the show we wanted to make, for 24 episodes. The Humans cast and crew were and are the best and we wouldn’t have got a second season without their talent and dedication, let alone a third. We can’t name anyone without naming everyone, and that would mean we’d have to do this in an even smaller front – so here’s to every last actor, director, writer, producer, exec, commissioner, DoP, editor, composer, crew member and the unfailingly generous Swedish team behind the original version.”

I loved humans. I never post on these things but i am devistated there won’t be a 4th season. I binge watched this series everyday i had the opertunity even on break at work. Truley can’t believe there wouldn’t be a 4th after the 3rd season was absolutely by far the best. Had me in the edge of my seat. Much respect to the cast ect..
Never fails, they always cancel the good shows but run those reality shows everywhere.

Yes i loved humans and was so looking forward to season 4! I can only now imagine what the future of synths will be- maybe produce their own offspring? X
Yes I would definitely watch fourth season and so on I was very disappointed to find out that the fourth season has been canceled I have watched from first season all the way up to third season I even purchased the second season on Netflix I really wanted to continue watching this I thought it was a very good show that kept me on my toes I even have my grandpa daughters watching it so please come on humans let’s get it together and all the fans out there
I absolutely loved this incredible series, & am so devastated to find out that it’s been cancelled(!!) I was SO excited for a 4th season(!!) It is SO amazingly well written & acted, & overall so well done, that it’s frankly just beyond disappointing that a show of this quality gets cancelled, when there’s so many lesser quality ones continuing. I was really looking fwd to seeing where they were going.
I really wish the 4th season of humans would come back I really love the show and there’s a lot of people that feel the same way
I just found the series and watched all 3 seasons in 3 days. Now well never now about Maddies baby etc. I think there was enough material to do another one. I liked season 2 the best but all were excellent.

Frak the corporate moguls who decide what we like. Like others before this show that were summarily executed before their time, it isn’t about excellent content or well directed, written and performed content. It’s about the almighty dollar. Humans ARE doomed, not by Synths, by their own greed and egocentric power.
