Will The Last Man on Earth be back? Recently, creator and star Will Forte spoke with TVLine about the future of the FOX series.
The comedy follows Phil Miller (Will Forte), a man who believes he is the last human on Earth until he discovers other survivors. The cast also includes Kristen Schaal, January Jones, Mel Rodriguez, Mary Steenburgen, and Cleopatra Coleman.
FOX has not announced yet whether The Last Man on Earth will be renewed for a fourth season or not. So far, season three is not doing that great in the ratings. The season is currently averaging a .95 rating in the 18-49 demo with only 2.267 million viewers.
In the interview, Forte says he hopes the show is renewed because the end of season three does not offer closure:
[T]he finale of Season 3 would be a real bummer for people if it didn’t come back for a fourth season, because there’s something that happens [in the episode] that opens the gateway to the possibility of stuff. I’m really excited about how it ends… And I think that people probably have a good idea what it is.”
Later, he said he hasn’t heard anything about a renewal but hopes The Last Man on Earth will be back:
I think [Fox] likes the show. But I know it’s all about the ratings and stuff. So I guess we just have to see. … I do hope we get a fourth season. It’s just such a wonderful group of people to work with.”

I love this show! And hope it returns for Season 5. Please keep it going. Need more promotion. I love the cast and the story line. Plus, can’t wait to see what happens with the serial killer, now that Tandy and Todd knows the truth about him.
There are not many real funny shows on tv with characters who can be as annoying as hell while being totally hilarious. I love this show. Keep it going.

Don’t even think about it just like all the others u rope us in then pull the rug out from underneath of us this is one of four shows I watch on Fox out of the four I would only be willing to lose the Simpsons or family Guy leathal weapon and last man need to be given a chance to run their course

the premise is wonderful. the cast is perfect. but the writers dont seem to have much of an imagination… i mean seriously you are the last people in the world and this is the best they can come up??? Guarantee you i could do a better job of creating some more fun and fans of this wonderful show… from 7 billion down to 7 peeps and they sit around in a single house for years and do nothing but bicker and argue??? This show is certainly different from other shows I watch, I like that each character has more of their own personality but it gets cringey at times (like with real life). The thing Ive been most upset at was the plane crash, I really liked that character. I’m not a huge fan of the show but I watch it anyway and I hope it gets renewed for a forth season.
