It looks like TNT is committed to airing what they consider more “edgy” content. They’ve renewed their low-rated Legends series for a second season of 10 episodes.
In the same day ratings, the first season of Legends averaged 1.53 million viewers with a 0.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic. Those numbers are significantly lower than those of Perception and Dallas — two shows that were recently cancelled.

TNT Orders Second Season of Hit Drama Series Legends
TNT has ordered a second season of its exciting drama series Legends, starring Screen Actors Guild Award® winner Sean Bean (Game of Thrones, The Lord of the Rings). The show is a key part of TNT’s ongoing expansion into high-quality genre fare, which also includes the summer blockbuster series The Last Ship and the upcoming series The Librarians. Legends is produced by Fox 21, with Howard Gordon (Homeland, 24) serving as executive producer. TNT has ordered 10 episodes for season 2, with plans to launch next year.
Legends is based on the award-winning book by master spy novelist Robert Littell. In the series, Bean plays Martin Odum, an undercover agent working for the FBI’s Deep Cover Operations (DCO) division. Martin has the uncanny ability to transform himself into a completely different person for each job. But he begins to question his own identity when a mysterious stranger suggests that Martin isn’t the man he believes himself to be.
The first season of Legends averaged 3.2 million viewers in Live + 7 delivery. When viewing across TNT’s multiple platforms is factored in, the show’s reach jumps to 6.5 million viewers through linear telecasts, DVR viewing, set-top VOD and digital on-demand.

Binge watched the whole season in 4 nights. My wife and I can’t wait for season 2.
I love the show, I startted watching on Netflix on a whim. I saw all 10 season one episodes in 2 days. It’s kind of like Blinspot in a way, so if you like that you will loves this more. The acting is better and the story lines are better as well.
Absolutely gutted that legend has only ran for 2 seasons. Loved this show huge Sean Bean fan and think he did an amazing job in this show. Why is it all the good shows get axed ?? Someone please bring it back. Want more decent shows on the tbv

Netflix or another network needs to pick up Legends. Now days very few shows are as well written or only deal with subject matter that is political correct.
If TNT did a better job marketing Legends I am sure it would’ve been a huge success. I only found it on Netflix and didn’t know it was even on TNT until season 2. Now that I have watched and enjoyed both season. They cancel the show.
What a shame tnt has decided to cancel Legends. There was finally a well written show on tv. It’s a lot like the British show MI5 great story and good acting.Legends introduce me to TNT before legends I would just skip past the network. I do hope they reconsider
My wife and I love this show. We just finished watching the first season on Netflix. Where is the promised season two? This excellent, gripping show should definitely be continued, with proper promotion and exposure. Properly handled it will hit at least 10 million viewers. There are at least that many intelligent viewers out there.
