(New York, NY) – TLC’s riveting docu-series LONG LOST FAMILY, returns with all-new, two-hour episodes beginning Monday, October 8 at 9/8c. Led by hosts Chris Jacobs and Emmy Award-winning journalist Lisa Joyner, this series features personal stories of people desperately searching for family members after years – and in some cases a lifetime – of separation. In each episode, Chris and Lisa, both of whom are adopted and have personal experience tracing their own biological family members, focus on two different stories in an effort to resolve the lifelong searches of the participating parties.
This season, viewers will meet a woman who is desperately hoping to discover why her mother left her in a box, near a gas station, just hours after being born; a man who at 49 years old, was traumatized to find out that he was adopted, and is now searching for any members of his biological family, praying it’s not too late; and a young woman searching for her birth mother only to uncover a paralyzing truth about her own biological father.
Chris and Lisa will tap into every possible resource – from public records and archives, to cutting edge Ancestry DNA technology – and leave no stone unturned as they pursue answers. Although the stakes are high, and the path to finding long lost family members is always unique and extremely challenging, LONG LOST FAMILY provides a renewed sense of hope and an opportunity to create a new beginning for those involved. Not only does a successful search bring the possibility of a heartwarming reunion, but also a chance at redemption for people who have endured decades of unfathomable emotional agony.

LONG LOST FAMILY is produced by Shed Media, a division of Warner Bros. Unscripted & Alternative Television, for TLC. Based on the format entitled Find My Family.”
What do you think? Have you seen Long Lost Family? Will you watch the new episodes?
Love long lost family, so hoping for new season. Have been very disappointed with your schedule lately, no more Dr. Pimple popper, last season was very short, hope you will have new episodes soon. I saw coming attractions on new show “My feet are killing me”, about surgeries on feet, I hope you will truly bring this new series to life. Love your channel and most of your shows please bring some new seasons because all the repeats are too numerous.
Thanks for your attention,
Alba
I love this show! I was adopted, and searching for my biological parents. It was a private adoption by a Judge in my town. Its been an interesting journey for me. I am struggling on how to approach my half siblings on both the mother and father’s side. This show gives great insight for both sides of adoption. Ancestry.com is also a great source for help.
I love long lost family can’t wait till it on again!!!
We have been waiting for a new season to open up. We will like to know when Long Lost Family will resume. It has been on channel TLC here in the past.
My husband and I watch this show, unfortunately last few seasons we had to record them and watch the next evening because it came on to late (he wakes up at 4:30am) but it’s one we enjoy together and we always make sure to have issues handy. Been looking for the date of new season and can’t find it. Would love to know if I could purchase series on Blu Ray as a gift for him, if anyone knows how or where please comment.
I watch it every season and love the show! Can’t wait for the new season!

One of the few shows that shine bright on TV. Love the show.
Love this show…I’ve watched all episodes from the beginning. Wish there were more. Very entertaining….I think I’ve cried thru thru every segment….even the second time thru..
I love this show. I was adopted but was always very comfortable with the information as I had the best “parents” anyone could ever be lucky to have. I did my DNA through ancestry for my children and grandchildren so they could know their heritage. I got a match and ended up finding relatives of my birth father who sent me pictures of him and his brothers. It was very interesting after 73 years to actually see his picture. I still so blessed to have the parents that raised me.
I love LLF its my favorite show its so interesting.Would be interesting to find out if these new found families stay in touch .
Excellent show. Very well done. Great hosts. Looking forward to the new season.
