TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
BEEN WAITING FOR 2015 LONGMIRE, BUT FIND OUT CANCELED BY A&E. WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE? LONGMIRE IS ONE THE BEST SHOWS ON TV. I’M 79 YEARS OLD AND WATCH MOSTLY DRAMAS ON TV THIS SHOW FALLS IN WITH THE BEST.
I’VE WATCHED EVERY EPISODE SINCE IT STARTED AND I’LL KEEP WATCHING IT ONCE YOU GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOU KNOW WHERE. GET IT BACK ON. PLEASE.
I’m just an old country boy, farmer and like westerns. This was as close to country, being fair to American Indians, some romance, politics & none of the silly “modern” TV nonsense on the air now. Bring it back, please!
Great show, I love it I think keep it
Great show and cast please renew
Great show. Great writing ! Keep the show going.
I am so very thankful that you are continuing with this series. this besides the black list that i will spend the 43 min. of my time on. good ensemble of actors, for the most part well written great location and on netflix allows me the freedom of time that i can sit down and relax. that includes my son (37) and his son (8) i am 67 so i go back to the shoot-um ups with some great twists and turns. tks again for for the re-ups. jw
Love Longmire back
In my opinion this was the best show on TV. I hope they continue the series.
We love the show and the characters! Lou Diamond Phillips and Robert Taylor are strong leading actors who interact with humor and sensitivity while they kick ass!
All the characters are heart warming and strong!! We were devastated when it was cancelled, and very happy to see the show picked up by Netflix! Please keep it going. The story line still has years of life!!!
It’s good to have these handsome, charamatic mature men for we 50+ women and me!
Thank you for keeping a great group together for all of us who love them!
It should be brought back.
This show should never have been canceled as it is one of the best on all of television. A&E should be ashamed of itself for ever giving up on quality entertainment like Longmire! (The only reason I joined Netflix was because of Longmire. Now, I’m glad I did.)
Renew, renew, renew, and by the way renew! I was engrossed in this show when I first found it and admit that I took every free moment to watch it!!! I’m at the end of what’s on Netflix so I’m patiently awaiting to see what’s going to happen???? Hurry up!!!!
Please, please bring back Walt and the others. I really like this show a lot.
My husband and I were upset when A&E cancelled this show. We don’t get Netflix so we can no longer watch it. It was a program we looked forward to watching every week. We would like to have it brought back to a cable channel and give those of us who can’t afford Netflix the opportunity to watch the seasons that only aired on Netflix.
Yes, Seasons 1-3 are on Netflix for streaming and I went through it so fast because it is an excellent rendition of a current Western. Hope you find it.
There is very little to watch on TV now. This is a wonderful show. This is a rare show that doesn’t rely on just violence to keep it going. My son also watches this show. I have to watch on Netflix because I do not get the channel.
My husband and I love this show! My father also watches it faithfully! Please, please, please do not drop this show! Netflix please pick this show up so it may continue. There are very few Good shows out there today..this was and is the best by far!
