TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Love the show. Please keep it on.
Please keep it going!!!!!!!
Best thing on TV in a long time. I wish a network would pick it back up.
I s a great show. Shame it was cancelled. Also, it is set in Wyoming–Big Sky Country is Montana.
Longmire, Blue Bloods and NCIS are the best shows on TV. TV overall is terrible, I looked forward to the three programs. I wish Longmire would of extended, out of the three, he is number one. It should extend another season and more. He was Gunsmoke in modern times. Sad to see it end.
Longmire has been a terrific series and it is a heartbreaker to see it end. The chemistry of all the characters was certainly a well-mixed and well thought out blend, so much so that I found myself hoping that Jacob was not involved in wrong doing, yet knowing Walt was rarely, if ever, wrong. What am I saying? Anyone who reads this has witnessed the thoughtfully written show, loved it and will miss it. Maybe Netflix will blow our mind and keep Longmire going.
The best TV show I’ve ever seen, can’t get enough of it. There are some many garbage shows being kept it blows my mind, I get a sick feeling every time I think of, I’ll won’t see it again. Every post on here are your viewers telling you how much they love the show, Wake up Netflix guys!!!!!!
A mistake to take a quality show off the air…….
I think this is one of the best shows on TV. I love everything about it from the actors, storyline and scenery. I don’t understand netflix taking that off to put something else on. So sad don’t guess I have anything else to watch since it was my favorite
This has been my favorite series this year, but since I had read the books, I was suspicious about the Vic character. From day one she didn’t fit the part. Both Robert Taylor and Lou Diamond were my favorites from the beginning. I was extremely disappointed about the ending, since I didn’t like Vic in that part. Seemed as if the director just jammed Vic and Longmire together at the end to follow the book’s ending, but they just didn’t fit. Ugh. I want to see more of Diamond and Taylor. I liked the actress who played Longmire’s daughter, too.
This was one of the best shows that I have seen in a long time. Great acting, characters, stories that kept you coming back for more. A very different setting, which truly was a joy to watch. I don’t weigh in on stuff like this, but I had to with Longmire. It is a real shame that these excellent shows get pulled before their time!!!
It is an intense show that I have enjoyed. I will sincerely miss it. Hollywood’s interpretation of prejudice is questionable but there is much about this show that makes the prejudice against Indians very believable and enlightening. I’m glad I have had the experience of this show.
Best show on
Great show would to see a season 7,8,9……..
keep it
