CBS has announced the season one finale of its Ransom TV show, check it out, below. Since the hostage rescue drama series has not yet been cancelled or renewed for a second season, this episode could prove to be the Ransom series finale, as well.
Ransom stars Luke Roberts as experienced crisis and hostage negotiator, Eric Beaumont. Brandon Jay McLaren, Nazneen Contractor, and Sarah Greene also star. Eric and his team sign on to save lives, when no one else can.
Ransom Season One Ratings: Cancelled or Renewed for Season Two?
The first season of Ransom is averaging a 0.44 rating in the 18-49 year old demo and an average of 3.56 million viewers. In terms of both its demo and audience size, it is currently the lowest rated CBS TV show, so Ransom seems likely to be cancelled.
That said, CBS broadcasts Ransom on Saturday evenings, when there are fewer viewers home watching TV — especially younger adults. What’s more, CBS partners on Ransom with TF1 (France) and Corus’ Global (Canada). Since the partnership makes this TV series more affordable, The Tiffany Network may opt to renew it.

Ransom should be renewed. Great story lines. Just have day changed. Like mentioned before Saturdays are bad days for any TV shows. Love this program.
Some printed sources state that RANSOM has been cancelled already.
Others state that it may yet be renewed.
Don’t know what to believe.
I peesonally would like to see it remain on Saturdays, with full network promotion.
I enjoy it and tape every episode. I am NOT in the 18-49 demographic.
A little spark of humor would add a extra edge…Great show but bad time during the week.Should add that woman on the phone (Annie) to the regular actors .

HORRIBLE TIME SLOT FOR A GREAT SHOW. NCIS WOULD STRUGGLE IN THIS SLOT. I ALWAYS RECORD IT. I THINK THE ONLY THING THAT COULD DO WELL IN THIS SLOT WOULD BE A SHOW ABOUT MY CATS AS COMPANIONS.

Animal Planet runs cat shows in that slot
The show has attractive cast, interesting interpersonal byplay, good settings, and clever plots. Time to renew for an older audience like me. No Saturday night date nights for us typically. I take it you don’t count DVR numbers in the demographic numbers–consider it.
This might be the worst show on television, I can’t believe it wasn’t canceled mid-season
Ransom should be renewed. I always DVR it in case I’m not home so I won’t miss an episode. I was not thrilled with the first episode but gave it another chance and I’m happy I did.
Was a good show if it would have been on a different day, I think it would have made another season. It was different and new. I really now try to be very selective as to what I watch because things get cancelled very quickly now.
Great Show but a little spark like that research woman on the phone on a couple of shows would add what it needs ( humor)
KEEP IT! Just put it on a different night and advertise the heck out of it. It’s a great show and should be given more than one season on a night when no one is home and no advertisement at all to generate interest!
Keep it on saturdays, but promote it!
