CBS has announced the season one finale of its Ransom TV show, check it out, below. Since the hostage rescue drama series has not yet been cancelled or renewed for a second season, this episode could prove to be the Ransom series finale, as well.
Ransom stars Luke Roberts as experienced crisis and hostage negotiator, Eric Beaumont. Brandon Jay McLaren, Nazneen Contractor, and Sarah Greene also star. Eric and his team sign on to save lives, when no one else can.
Ransom Season One Ratings: Cancelled or Renewed for Season Two?
The first season of Ransom is averaging a 0.44 rating in the 18-49 year old demo and an average of 3.56 million viewers. In terms of both its demo and audience size, it is currently the lowest rated CBS TV show, so Ransom seems likely to be cancelled.
That said, CBS broadcasts Ransom on Saturday evenings, when there are fewer viewers home watching TV — especially younger adults. What’s more, CBS partners on Ransom with TF1 (France) and Corus’ Global (Canada). Since the partnership makes this TV series more affordable, The Tiffany Network may opt to renew it.

Love the show and its characters
Please renew Ransom. It is one of the best shows on TV, refreshing ,and interesting. We were very disappointed when it didn’t appear on TV anymore.

Definitely a keeper. There are so few intelligent as opposed to blood and mayhem shows on TV, it would be a real shame to lose it. The acting is great, the characters interesting and likeable and the situations wonderfully done.
This is an excellent show. The only reason the ratings are low is because it airs on Saturday nights. We watch it on Hulu faithfully. Change the night and watch the ratings soar. Great show, DO NOT CANCEL!!!

Wow! I certainly agree. This show I would say is a good fit for regular tv air. Not a lot of violence and that’s rare now a days with the shows today. Just an over all good group of writers that work on each episode. They leave you on the edge of your seat,keep you guessing as to how things will turn out. Bring back,do leave the cliff hanger of his daughter being kidnapped and that’s its. That would be such a disappointment!

I watch Ransom and hope it is renewed for a second season. It’s story line is great and the cast (new faces) work well together. Give it another season please.
Please don’t cancel Ransom! The past few years CBS has been my go-to network for amazing programming & very intelligent shows. This was not the case for too many years, but the majority of your shows we watch or TIVO faithfully. I believe shows are not given enough of a chance to gain viewers, & a lot of the time it’s because they are moved around the schedule too much, not allowing the ratings (I.e. $$ in sponsorship). Please don’t forget that some of the most popular shows of all time weren’t a hit their first seasons.
Not all of us that like and watch Ransom are in your age group I like it and it gives some people something to watch on Saturday . Senior citizens watch tv too!!!
I really enjoy this show. I’m afraid CBS will cancel it as it doesn’t like to appeal to seniors. Why wasn’t it ever promoted?
Love this show! It should definitely be renewed for a second season! Great cast and show content. If in was in a different time slot , I think it would have higher ratings.
