Last summer, the Peacock Network released a horror series, Midnight, Texas, and while it didn’t burn up the Nielsen ratings, it did well enough to score a season two renewal. This time out, NBC is introducing the science-fiction TV show, Reverie. Can it lure in enough “genre” fans to earn decent ratings and earn second season pickup? Will Reverie be cancelled or renewed for season two on NBC? Stay tuned.
An NBC techno-thriller, Reverie stars Sarah Shahi, Dennis Haysbert, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Jessica Lu, Kathryn Morris, and John Fletcher. The drama centers on human behavior expert Mara Kint (Shahi), who retired from her career as a hostage negotiator, after a personal tragedy. Her old boss, Charlie Ventana (Haysbert), has now tapped Mara for a mission to save regular people who have essentially lost themselves in an immersive virtual-reality experience, which lets them live out their wildest fantasies and most dearly held dreams.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
8/9 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Reverie TV series? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season on NBC?
*11/7/18 update: NBC has cancelled Reverie so there won’t be a second season. Details here.
Renew! I love this show!
This is a great show! Please renew.
Reverie is different, fresh and exciting! It’s so nice to watch a show and it not be some mindless, useless reality tv program! There have been many great shows in the past that are cancelled after the first season, shows that are never given a fair chance to prove themselves with a second season! I’m tired of getting into a great show only for it to be cancelled, leaving viewers hanging and wondering!
I loved Reverie, it’s great cast, and hope to see many seasons to come!
Please renew Reverie. Excellent show with an outstanding cast.
Love the show please renew it
I love this show and can’t get enough of it. Pleas bring it back
Please put another series of reverie on it has been awesome, this is not similar to any other series out there. I have totally enjoyed every moment of it. It is very relevant with this day and age technology. Top marks for this series.
I love reverie . Please renew it . I see all the old shows coming back &’I say wow can’t The networks come up with new ones that are good? Well Reverieis excellent.
Keep
It going
Love Reverie. Please bring it back!!!
Absolutely love this show. Please bring it back for a second season!
Love Reverie, think it has potential for Season 2 stories, hope they renew it!
I would love to see Reverie come back for a second season. I love the show!
I love Reverie!!! But I don’t hold any hope for a season 2 simply because all the shows I like aren’t mainstream enough, I suppose. Loved Colony and am thoroughly disgusted that it happened.
Enjoy the show while you can. Since Reverie can’t beat out two repeats it runs against, and ratings basically are down the drain, it’s likely to be cancelled.
I love reverie. Hope it is renewed
