canceled + renewed TV shows - TV Series Finale

Rush Hour: Cancelled CBS Series Replaced by Code Black

by Jessica Pena, May 26, 2016

rush-hour-premiere-ratings

It looks like CBS isn’t rushing to finish the first and only season of Rush Hour. For the next two weeks, at least, the cancelled series is being replaced by Code Black on Thursday nights.

Last week, we reported CBS had cancelled Rush Hour after only seven episodes. The series stars Justin Hires and Jon Foo as two mismatched police officers.

On their schedule, CBS has replaced both tonight’s scheduled episode of Rush Hour and next week’s with episodes of the medical drama Code Black. TVInsider reports the cop drama will return to air its remaining episodes beginning July 23rd at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Check out the revised schedule for tonight and next week below:

Rush Hour TV show on CBS: canceled, no season 2

CBS should have shown the episode tonight. I was looking forward to i and then they cancel at the last minute. I liked this series because it isn’t like the other shows in that its riddled with freakin’ sex scenes and swear words. I wanted to see him and his sister work together. Gah!!!! CBS ruins everything by giving in and showing TV programs filled with the same old drama of medical wards, cheating (adultery), malpractices, and such. I liked Rush Hour more than some of the other junk they have on their station.

My daughter and I love the show and really look forward to seeing it each week (we’re very disappointed it’s been canceled)! John Foo is the bomb and Justin Hires is hilarious!

At the end of a long day, who wants to laugh. No, lets go into yet another hospital operating room and see gorey, bloody scenes that give you nightmares. Shame on you CBS.

I was skeptical about the show at first because no one could replace Chris and Jackie but I fell in love with the show and characters. It had a life of it’s own. I want to see the last episodes and if they release Season 2 on DVD I would buy it. As if we don’t have enough hospital shows…

My husband and I love this show, I’m not really understanding why they are cancelling it. It’s funny and the characters are a perfect blend. What’s wrong with CBS?

Too bad the show was cancelled. Was a nice mix of drama, action, and humor. Something different, for a change. Unlike all those weekly copy cat series….same shows/different names .

I LOVE Rush Hour! I am very upset that it was cancelled! Now I only have one program on CBS that I will watch, unless IT gets cancelled too! Then I am done with this network!

I love Rush Hour it has both Comedy and Action. I think CBS has cancelled the show too soon. I think that CBS so give the show a chance. They’ve only had 7 episodes and rates increasing isn’t going to happen over night. Jon Foo and Justin Hires have been doing a good job. They have big shoes to fill. I just wish CBS saw the show’s true potential or another Network should pick it up where CBS left off!!

This is a great show. Why do you always cancel a great show? Very sad! When you have a great one you seem to not know it.

This is the only show I watched after 10pm. I was hoping to see it today and just found out it was canceled. Very disappointed. No more 10pm show.

Who knows? Maybe they’re testing it to bring it back as a summer series, like they did with Unforgettable?

Jon Foo was an asset to the program. Justin Hires was just too irritating. We tried one episode and couldn’t bring ourselves to ever repeat the experience. It really was awful.

I was waiting for this to be cancelled, it does not compare to the movie and is just another failed attempt to replace well known actors and a movie that was enjoyable with a B quality “look alike” remake without the on screen magic of the original. If you have nothing better to watch, sure it will fill the time but given a choice I would gladly watch Code Black vs Rush Hour. Code Black is actually realistic and gets your heart pumping as well as your eyes tearing up instead of just watching a made for tv movie split… Read more »
