Netflix has cancelled Sense8, and fans aren’t the only ones upset. Recently, the cast of the TV series reacted to the news.
From the Wachowskis, the drama follows eight people from different parts of the world who are mentally connected to each other. The cast includes Tina Desai, Miguel Angel Silvestre, Jamie Clayton, Tuppence Middleton, Donna Bae, Brian J. Smith, Max Riemelt, and Toby Onwumere. Season two just premiered in May.
On social media, stars Brian J. Smith, Freema Agyeman, Toby Onwumere, and Jamie Clayton addressed the cancellation of Sense8. It’s unclear why Netflix axed the series, but according to Smith it was a combination of low viewership and high production costs:

This show was profound. No show that I have ever watched affected me so much. I honestly can say that it made me a better person by teaching me that love cannot be controlled be narrow minds. Please teach me more. Screw the money angle and let us fans have a chance to spread the news that this show can change how the world sees love.
I just finished Season 2 and I can’t belive that there is not going to be a season 3, 4, 5….10! This is the best show I have watched in a while. It has been a long time since I have felt so connected to characters, been so entertained and shed so many tears. Just started watching Sense8 and feel so disappointed about the cancellation. Not fair!
What a fantastic series ( apart from the last episode which seemed slightly rushed!) But I loved the show. It was filmed, acted and written beautifully. I’m sad to hear it won’t be back for a third season but glad Netflix has seen sense and greenlit a proper finale..and who knows maybe more. Let’s hope for a fitting blu ray release with top features!
I’m truly canceling my Netflix now. Why in the hell would you cancel Sense8. Of all the original shows on Netflix that you could have canceled!!! I’m so canceling you. Maybe Amazon Prime will pick it up

I will very much miss the cast. They were PERFECT.
Very Disappointed. This show is original, interesting, thoughtful, thought provoking, touching, diverse, sexy, and witty. At the very least they owed it to fans to resolve the show, either in a last season or as a two-hour special. Reed Hastings is complaining about having too many HITS. Sense8 is a show that leads people to think, to analyze things, to open their eyes and minds! That’s why it has been cancelled. I will miss it big time! Long live Sense8.
Best TV-show ever…
So disappointed!! Sense8 was a great and cutting-edge show. You left us at a hugh cliffhanger and now I will wonder what happened. Please reconsider or do a special that wraps it up so you don’t leave millons of fans in limbo. So many wonderful and challenging situations happened that have inspired me and my friends that I got hooked on Sense8. Please, please bring it back.
Finally a show that challenges you while you watch it. Such a diverse cast too, figures they’d cancel it.
