What’s This TV Show About?
Streaming on the Netflix paid subscription platform, Sense8 stars Doona Bae, Jamie Clayton, Tina Desai, Tuppence Middleton, Toby Onwumere, Max Riemelt, Miguel Ángel Silvestre, Brian J. Smith, Freema Agyeman, Terrence Mann, Anupam Kher, Naveen Andrews, and Daryl Hannah. The series follows eight people from around the world, who were born on the same day, and share a psychic connection. In the second season, the Sensates — Capheus (Onwumere), Kala (Desai), Lito (Silvestre), Nomi (Clayton), Riley (Middleton) , Sun (Bae), Will (Smith) and Wolfgang (Riemelt) –unite and dive headlong into each other’s lives, as they ponder their existence. Because Whispers (Mann) is hunting them down, the group needs to live together, fathom one another, and defend themselves.
Telly’s Take
Unless Netflix decides to release streaming “ratings” it is always difficult to gauge the success of streaming TV shows, like Sense8, so let’s look at what we do know. The critical response to the first season of Sense8 was mostly positive. We’ll have to wait and see how viewers respond to the second season. After the show’s nearly two years on hiatus, will the audience still care?
While we do know the actors’ contracts lapsed, a couple of months ago Netflix reportedly reached out the core cast for a third season, and was in the process of re-signing them. So, it seems the internet streaming service is eager for me to go hungry, but does P.E.T.A. care? Well, my phone’s not ringing. I can tell you that much. You need to bring Sense 8 BACK not just for 1 season but for a few!!!!!
I agree Netflix can’t keep on having series getting people addicted to the show’s then canceling them!!! It’s outrageous and uncalled for!!!!!
Netflix is out of control with its erratic canceling programming that they didn’t promote properly(so its often on them). They are throwing too many shows out there with cliff hanger endings and the one’s that don’t translate into $$$ get dropped with endings that leave the fans sick of this style of ‘programming’. There are great shows and crappy ones(The Ranch,etc) that get picked back up because they are low budget. We fans need to let Netflix know this kind of net fishing for viewers is going to backfire by letting them know, there are MANY other platforms out there.… Read more »
Just watched Sense 8 Season 2. The show is awesome one of the best Series I have ever watched. It had me smiling ,laughing and crying. A pure joy to watch. Please renew, I just fell in love with all the characters. Please renew xx

Season 2 amazing! I have watched both seasons twice already. I cannot imagine why they would cancel such an incredible show. It is just brilliant writing, acting, and production.
I will wish for and enjoy any future episodes of Sense 8, please, please do more.
