At the beginning of its sophomore year, the ratings for the Shooter TV show on USA Network dropped off significantly, but then they stabilized. In the end, they were enough for a third season renewal. Now that season three of Shooter is here, will it be able to hit the target that is Nielsen households? A USA action drama, Shooter stars Ryan Phillippe, Omar Epps, Shantel VanSanten, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, and Jesse Bradford. Based on Stephen Hunter’s novel, Point of Impact, and the 2007 Mark Wahlberg film, Shooter centers on expert marksman Bob Lee Swagger (Phillippe). Despite being retired and living in exile, Swagger is coaxed back into action for the most important mission of his lifetime. In the third season, he discovers details surrounding his father’s death, which lead toward a shocking conspiracy.
The ratings are typically the best sign of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

For comparisons: the second season of Shooter averaged a 0.35 rating in the 18-49 year old viewer demographic and 1.249 million viewers.
