What’s This TV Show About?
A period horror drama streaming on the Netflix paid subscription platform, Stranger Things stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Millie Bobby Brown, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Cara Buono, Matthew Modine, Noah Schnapp, Joe Keery, Sadie Sink, Dacre Montgomery, Sean Astin, Paul Reiser, Linnea Berthelsen, Brett Gelman, and Will Chase.
In 1983, a young boy goes missing from Hawkins, Indiana. When his family, friends, and the police search for him and for explanations for his disappearance, they stumble upon an incredible mystery involving top-secret government experiments, supernatural occurrences, and a unique little girl. Season two of Stranger Things kicks off in 1984. Although Will Byers (Schnapp) has been rescued from the Upside Down, the locals are still disturbed by the horrors of the Demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Something bigger and more malevolent will threaten those who survived the terror of 1983.
Telly’s Take
Fans don’t have to worry whether Netflix will cancel or renew Stranger Things for season three. Back in August, the Duffer Brothers said there would be a third installment. They also said they’re likely to end the series with season four. Of course, if this chapter misses the mark and drives off viewers in droves, that could all change. Flying blind, my gut says I should make other dinner plans though, and that this supernatural series is staying put. While I don’t have Stranger Things season two ratings to monitor, I’ll keep an eye on the trades and update this page with breaking developments.
