Sue Heck may be flying solo. TVLine reports ABC has ordered a pilot for a possible spin-off to The Middle.
The sitcom, which centered on a middle-class family living in Indiana, just wrapped its ninth and final season in May. The cast included Eden Sher, Patricia Heaton, Mike Flynn, Charlie McDermott, and Atticus Shaffer.
ABC‘s spin-off pilot will follow Sue (Sher) as she leaves “Indiana to pursue a career — and young adulthood — in Chicago.” The Middle creators Eileen Heisler and DeAnn Heline are writing the pilot.

I would watch anything connected to the middle
Definitely would watch it, but I’d prefer them to bring the entire Middle cast back. They’re all so great together. Sue is great, but it’ll feel like something major is missing from the show without all the original cast members.
I would most definitely watch it! This was my favorite show and my grandkids records all past episode so we wo u ld most definitely watch! Please bring Sue to tv.
I have watched the show from day one. It was one of our favorite shows, no fowl language or heavy sex. The grandkids could walk in and you didn’t need to change the channel. I think she could carry the show. She will have other people on the show with her. It would be great if some family members pop in once in a while. I don’t understand why the show was canceled? Did they want out or was it the studio? Such a funny, family realistic family they where. Sad it’s gone
like the character but would not watch a show of Sue Heck i like her as Sue with the family.
Love the caracter. Would be fun. Would be happy to see.

I loved “The Middle”. My family could never understand why the show, and its actors, didn’t win any Emmys. It was the best recent family comedy. I look forward to seeing the new show featuring Sue. Eden Sher helped create a wonderful and lovable character. I do hope that the other stars of ” The Middle” will make some cameo appearances!

If we can’t have the original, a spin off would be great. I love Sue and the kind way she deals with every issue. It is a pleasure to watch a funny show without cussing, nudity, and great characters. Hope most of the original cast appears sometimes.
Can she carry a production by herself? Short answer, no and I’m a Middle fan.
Of course there would be other characters.
The Middle was the best show on television, and I was so upset when it ended. A spinoff would be fabulous! Sue is a great character. She is funny, loving and caring. It would be wonderful to follow on with her life!
