The Middle just wrapped its final season, but will there be a spin-off? Deadline reports a spin-off starring Eden Sher could be coming to ABC.
Sher plays Sue Heck on the family sitcom, which also stars Patricia Heaton, Mike Flynn, Charlie McDermott, and Atticus Shaffer. The series just wrapped its ninth and final season on May 22nd.
According to Deadline, ABC is developing a spin-off of The Middle that centers on Sue Heck. While the network has yet to release any info about the project, rumor is the series “will be set a few years in the future from The Middle finale, chronicling the next stage of Sue’s life as a young adult with a new cast of characters around her.”
Could the spin-off replace Roseanne on ABC’s 2018-19 lineup? What do you think? Would you watch?

The Middle is one of my favorite shows of the last 10 years or so and I adore every member of the cast and every character but I’m not the type that needs to see a spin-off of every show that I love so while I’m sure a show revolving around Sue set in the future from The Middle would be good I don’t deem it necessary. I would check it out though.
