The long-running reality show follows members of major corporations’ upper management as they go undercover in their own company to get an idea of what it’s like to work as a lower-level employee.
A renewal for Undercover Boss is hardly a surprise. The show’s been running for quite a while now on CBS with the same format and ratings have been fairly consistent. Season eight is currently averaging a 1.01 in the 18-49 demo and 5.74 million viewers.
While the numbers have dropped, CBS seems content to keep Undercover Boss around for another season. As they have in the past, the network will likely continue to use the show as a “utility player” — filling in gaps in their schedule as needed.
What do you think? Do you watch Undercover Boss? Will you watch season nine?
