Although it is known for its gritty modern series, with its new Will TV show, TNT is dipping a toe into the period drama genre. Despite being set in 16th century London, the cable network has promoted its young Shakespeare series — with a modern soundtrack — as an edgy peek at the past, through a contemporary lens. Will today’s audience tune in for a new look at the Bard of Avon? Will Will be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
The Will TV series stars Laurie Davidson as William Shakespeare. The TNT cast also includes Olivia DeJonge, Jamie Campbell Bower, Mattias Inwood, Ewen Bremner, Colm Meaney, William Houston, Lukas Rolfe, Max Bennett, and Jasmin Savoy Brown. At just 24 years of age, with no social or political advantages, Shakespeare is willing to risk everything in pursuit of his dreams. He dives headlong into the fast and treacherous world of Elizabethan theatre, trying to make it as a writer.

Love everything about “Will” – costumes, music, plot and actors. Really hope this series is renewed, I need better closure on the characters of Will (Alice and Marlowe in particular)!

I love this show. It is a bit bawdy and kind of gross at times. But the acting is fantastic. The scenery is great. I love this take on Shakespeare which normally could be boring. And Laurie Davidson is one of the most handsome actors to date.
WILL should be renewed. I love this show and the so called critics don’t know what they are talking about. Everyone that I know who has watched this show love it. Some banged watched it because they didn’t even know or hear about it until someone who has seen told them about it. Great series. Please RENEW!!!!
Please renew this show, it maybe all the things the critics say, but it’s fun and not about a superhuman hero, an idiot reality or a cop show. It’s family drama plus Mafiosi violence in costume, with a hunky Will Shakespeare thrown in; what more could you ask for… Always thought Shakespeare was sexy, nice to see other people do too.

Finally, a fresh new TV show ! Has so much potential. Several of my friends and myself have binged watched “Will” every week. I read where the costumes were expensive but surely these young actresses and actors don’t require a ton of money. I BEG OF YOU, PLEASE RENEW “WILL” for a 2nd. season.
