Arrow will return to CW on Wednesday night, and it is a whole new ballgame for Oliver Queen and Team Arrow. This series was never in danger of being cancelled by CW during season three. The series, which stars Stephen Amell, has become a solid hit for the network. In fact, some might say that it was a hit from day one.
However, the end of Arrow season three felt very much like a series finale to fans of the show, and the man in charge of the series, Marc Guggenheim, confirmed to fans that the feeling was intentional. The series is ready to start off a new journey.
The “Arrow” is dead, and Oliver has run off to share his life with Felicity. Amell teased some about Queen’s new outlook on life to MTV.
“I know that Oliver Queen is certainly at peace at the beginning of the season. He’s rested, happy, and domesticated… it’s interesting who is more at peace with the sort of domesticated set-up, the happily ever after set-up, so to speak, between the two of us. If something is going to lure Oliver and Felicity out of their light, happy place, it’s going to be the heart of darkness. No, it’s interesting. It’s different this year too, where we’ve always taken the time to introduce our quote-unquote big bad, or the reveal of who the villain is. It’s not so much the case this year.”
Emily Bett Rickards offered her own teaser about Oliver and Felicity’s relationship.
“We get to see them as a couple working as a team. Which is really interesting, and I think really good for our show, and good for them.”
Oliver and Felicity will not be able to stay away from Starling City for long. The pair will be forced to return when Thea and company ask them for help. There is a new big bad in town, and they cannot handle them all on their own.
They will need help, and they go to Oliver for it. However, Oliver will face some challenges. The team dynamic will have changed in his absence. Before, he was the leader, and he told everyone what to do. Now, Team Arrow is a democracy. They make decisions together.
Even with the big bad making his entrance earlier in the season, fans will see a lighter tone on this series. Oliver will even crack during the season four premiere.
There are big things happening this season on Arrow. With the return of Sara Lance, the appearance of Constantine, and a truly big bad, fans have a lot to look forward to.

the last time the writers shifted gears, you almost lost me. Shifting into hi-gear now sounds great, but please do it intelligently. It’s already hard enough to accept the present premise, a rich vigilante who starts out bad then, turns good … make me believe it … my opinion, thanks …
Stephen Amell has to be- hands down!- the best thing to come out of Canada since Bryan Adams (and said-country’s apology for inflicting Justin Bieber on the rest of the world!). It doesn’t hurt that he does his bit for gender-equality by taking his shirt off and showing off his six-pack- especially while doing a work-out. Bet that ex-girlfriend of his is kicking herself now for dumping him. Sorry, honey, but you snooze, you lose!
A “reboot” Huh … We will know Verrry Quickly if the reboot works, I really like the series and look forward to a successful reboot. My opinion, thanks …
Arrow is a great show I’ve loved it for 3 years and I know I’m going to love the new season I can’t even believe that you’re even thinking about not renewing it for another season and canceling it you better not because everybody that I talk to loves the show arrow don’t be stupid like a lot of the networks it cancels their shows this show is been a great success for KTLA and still will continue to be a success.
It’s not being cancelled. It’s being rebooted, which usually means a new show and all characters that died didn’t. Usually means they’re starting over with new actors. In this case, seems to be the same actors and still continueing the show. I’m not sure what would be different until I see the new season tonight. Season 3 did seen like a finale. However, the story seems like it will continue in a different way.
