Dark Matter TV show on Syfy: ratings (cancel or renew for season 3?)The shipmates on Dark Matter continue to learn about their true identities and they are complicated, to say the least. Will viewers want to stick around to get all of the answers? How will this Canadian show perform in the ratings? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a third season? Stay tuned.

On Dark Matter, the crew of a derelict spaceship is awakened from stasis with no memories of who they are or how they got on board. The show’s cast includes Marc Bendavid, Melissa O’Neil, Anthony Lemke, Alex Mallari Jr, Jodelle Ferland, Roger Cross, Zoie Palmer, Melanie Liburd, and Shaun Sipos.

Four may have done everything for the greater good. Nyx’s brother told him his predictions. Ryo himself may have had similar worries. He may had done everything to: 1. Free Nyx or Nyx the new leader of the seers(Maybe, the enemy in the future). 2.Have a place to give the crew of the Raza asylum.

His step-mother deserved to die, but not his step-brother ? Ryo retains all of Four’s memories from after the mind wipe, he knows the events of the alt-universe. So he’d know Hiro would eventually become a threat. Ryo seems like the cold and calculating type that would use such knowledge to prevent a similar outcome in his own universe. Ryo is NOT Four. I love the emperor Ryo.(Strong, Cruel, Honest, Ambitious). The real ruler, who was not a weakling.

Dark Matter is one of those Sci-Fi series that carry with them that moderate alternative profile. That uniqueness and, allow me to say, “cultness” that uniforms its beauty is what makes it so special. So special that when you watch it for the first time, you know that no matter how many more Sci-Fi series you are watching, or will watch, this cannot be compared, ever. am expecting more from the series. I see the great potential awaiting ahead and the continuous strengthen of its heroes that without a doubt owe a lot to the great cast, that has shown… Read more »

I took a science fiction class in high school and one of the questions we were asked once was if machines could have emotions. I’ve always been so conflicted on this. On one hand I think no because they’re machines, they aren’t human, they can’t feel. Then there’s shows like this with the Android, or Person of Interest with the Machine, or the movie The Iron Giant with the giant. All of those have machines of some kind where the machine does care. So I think in the end machines can’t feel they weren’t built that way but then after… Read more »

Zoe Palmer is incredible. I’ve never seen acting on that level – she plays different characters with different personalities which are simultaneously minor variations on a single character, and she actually convinces me she’s an android and not. There might be another subtle reveal about the Android. If the virus AI did come from evil universe Mikkei, and if the Android figured that out while supposedly offline, that would explain why she dreamed a news report about Mikkei attacking the Raza, overcoming what should be her limitations in order to protect the ship and crew.

I feel guilty about this but I kinda wanted the Android to be defective and for there to be a real problem, maybe having the personality upgrade be the source of the virus would make more sense? through in all honesty I really just wanted Five to be wrong..look I know she’s just a kid and I shouldn’t be annoyed by her flippant attitude..but this is a situation where her being wrong could have been a character growth moment and I would have loved to see that. Anyway, I’m actually OK with what we got overall, Zoie’s performance was great… Read more »

S02E10 “Take The Shot” – That was a fantastic episode. Loved this episode and how the Android’s dreams paralleled the Raza’s reality. Essentially the only part that took place in reality was one act of sabotage, and the list of suspects is pretty long. (Evil universe Truffault is a good guess but it’s only a guess.)I suspected red default Android to be far more dangerous than the real one.If the default settings have been compromised by Truffaut the wiser move would be to use the current personality matrix of the Android as the new restore point.

Could the Android originally be human? Human soul and memory uploaded into an android body. It’d explain the abnormality in her programming.

Possible allies in the future: In Episode One, during the first meeting between the mining colonists and the Raza crew, the the two groups drew guns on one another. Mireille noted the crew weren’t Corp Guard and pointed out that they could be Hrothgar’s people. Nassan then asked if they were, to which Six stated ‘maybe’.Later on, Nassan mentioned that the colony had given all they could to Hrothgar, one of their own, so that he could procure a shipment of weapons, and that Hrothgar was expected to return soon. Mireille mentioned to One that Hrothgar had given her the… Read more »

Before One was killed, I suspected that he hadn’t learned exactly why he had come aboard the Raza. He didn’t mean to just kill Three. As a billionaire, he could have just hired another crew of mercenaries to do the killing. He had something else in mind.Rooks’ boss is Darius der Hoeven (human or alien), CEO of CoreLactic Industries? I like that! The story would be perfect! Everything would have made sense. Renew !!!

Two, has only 10 years (ten years old) ? I wonder if Four is going to try and convince the crew to use the Raza and its Blink Drive to help keep Zairon from losing the war against the Republic of Pyr? The android/hot chocolate scene was the best. I love the android!

Dwarf Star alone has artificial persons, personal shields, nanites, nanite dampening fields, and whatever that thing was they infected Three with.Season 1 implies that the guy above Rook wants a body to transplant his mind into or something. So why was the prototype a woman, and the second model a man? Rooks’ boss is a man…. so why would he want a woman’s body? I don’t think Rook cared if she won. He put that “alien” inside of Three for a reason, right? He also didn’t send more security, or try to stop them from leaving the building. I have… Read more »

Rook first just let the other dudes go while he clearly has no compunction with killing people and then his boss tells him they need to die afterwards because they ‘know what she is’. Why would he not just shoot them on the spot? Is there any reason.

S02E09 “Going Out Fighting” Is this our first alien?(like Goa’uld) It definitely seemed highly intelligent. I feel like it’s a human made synthetic being with AI, does that qualify as alien or technology? I guess you would then have to ask if two is alien or technology then… Either way there’s no doubt it will show up again.

This show needs to be renewed. It’s different and yet it kinda reminds me of firefly (imo). Its refreshing and the characters are all bad ass in there own ways.

I really hope that they bring it back for a third season, I really enjoy science fiction and it’s so hard to find movies and shows that do it right without being too cheesy and over the top.

I binge watched the first season and all of the season 2 episodes so far, I really enjoy the story and characters, there haven’t been many recent syfy shows that I can say that about.
