It looks like the fifth season of Elementary on CBS will have 24 episodes, after all. While the first four seasons of the updated Sherlock Holmes drama all had 2 dozen episodes, the season five renewal order was reportedly only for 22 installments.
Spoiler TV reports the CBS Studios press site now lists 24 episodes for Elementary, season five. The series stars Jonny Lee Miller as Sherlock Holmes and Lucy Liu as Dr. Joan Watson. Aidan Quinn and Jon Michael Hill also star in this modern retelling of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic detective stories.

It was a shame to move it to Sunday. Please don’t cancel Elementary, just move it to another day, like Tuesday……
CBS is my favorite channel. Please keep Elementary, I also watch reruns of this show.

Hell to the YES I watch Elementary! The crew front and back of the house are excellent. can’t have great writing without great acting and crew to pull it ALL together! Joan is eternally dressed to kill….(sinister laugh and grin)!
Yes, I watch even reruns! I Love this show!!! Johnny Lee Miller as Sherlock he makes it so interesting with his intense acting. Great Show!
I adore this show. It’s well written and Jonny Lee Miller is incredible. Seems to me, the networks are punishing intelligent shows by canceling them. Soon there will be no shows to watch that are actually worth while

I love Elementary and Jonny Lee Miller. I have watched from the beginning and hope it stays on the air for a long time to come.
A unique and wonderful series. The change in airing date didn’t help many of us who were left wondering if it was still on this season, and when to view it.
Having lost some initial viewership, it’s been playing catch up ever since.
The cast is solid, especially JLee Miller, and again, it’s something different from the usual police fare!
Many of us are hoping it’ll be on for another season.
I think the initial order for season five being only 22 episodes was because 1: “Elementary” is the least-watched scripted series on CBS, and its 18-49 demo rating has not gone above 0.9 since it moved to the Sundays-at-10-PM timeslot last March; And 2: If ANY CBS show is placed into the Sunday-at-10-PM timeslot, it will be prone to delays due to NFL football overruns, and there is the potential for original episodes of that show being delayed to the following week.
I think next time CBS renews “Elementary”, it’ll probably be for a short final season.
Five, 24 episode seasons is a hell of a run. If it gets renewed, it will be a 13 episode 6th and final season. Best show ever on CBS after “Person of Interest”.
I have always enjoy watching Elementary. The biggest reason is Jonny Lee Miller; I also enjoy the finest actors you have on the show. I can’t imagine not having Elementary to look forward to. Please do not cancel.
Why? The only reason it came back was because another network was paying for the episodes and they weren’t costing CBS anything. The ratings are putrid. Are they writing an ending? I’ll try to find put more.
5 million isn’t putrid, similar to last season really, last episode was up from previous as well.
