What’s This TV Show About?
Streaming on the Netflix paid subscription platform, Frontier stars Jason Momoa, Alun Armstrong, Landon Liboiron, Zoe Boyle, Jessica Matten, Evan Jonigkeit, Allan Hawco, Lyla Porter-Follows, Greg Bryk, Diana Bentley, and Breanne Hill. A Canadian action-adventure drama from creators Rob Blackie and Peter Blackie, the 18th century period piece unfolds in the violent, corrupt world of the North American fur trade. A part-Cree, part-Irish outlaw, Declan Harp (Momoa) is determined to break the monopoly that the Hudson’s Bay Company has on the industry. He has a dark past with HBC’s Lord Benton (Armstrong), who is out to crush the competition. In season three, Declan takes his fight against the HBC across the Atlantic.
Telly’s Take
There’s been no word yet on whether Netflix and Discovery Canada (where the show originates) will renew the Frontier series for a fourth season. My guess is that, as long as movie star Momoa is willing to do it, the series will be renewed. I’ll keep an eye on the trades for any breaking news, so subscribe for free Frontier alerts.
8/29/19 update: The Frontier TV show has been cancelled so there won’t be a fourth season.

I don’t understand why Netflix would cancel such a popular and quality program like Frontier especially given so much crappy content that they continue to produce. What’s worse, they again leave audiences up in the air. At least have the decency to bring the story to some conclusions.
My husband and I love the story line and the characters!! The actors and actresses play the parts quite well! I hope you will reconsider ending the series; it is so hard to find good shows to watch now! Note: Less nudity would be much appreciated; the story line would do well without it. We need more historical, educational, and thought provoking shows like this!
Loved the show. Please consider having a fourth season. I love the story line and it needs to have a proper ending for all the fans out there that have watched all the seasons. Please bring it back..
I just watched all three seasons of Frontier on Netflex and love it. PLEASE reconsider and renew it. Frontier is the best series I have watced in a long time. Marsha Byrd

I am crushed that Frontier has been cancelled!!! What a great show! I would have thought at least a few more episodes to get an ending….it’s so sad. Why do they keep giving us dumb reality shows and take things with a plot, great acting and some history like Frontier away? I don’t understand.

Netflix has become the worst streaming service. The people running it are greedy and unwilling to work with the production services anymore We are seeing it with frontier. This is why warner and Disney is pulling all their stuff out at the end of 2019. Looking at this it proves they are ******** more over then just them but themselves as well as they will be left with nothing but a piece of crap streaming service that people over pay for garage material. I am very sad and disappointed at the cancellation of Frontier. As a fan, I am insulted that they would end it with so many unanswered questions. At the very least, they could have given us another season to give the fans some closure. Instead, they tease us with the notion of another season for several months, almost a year, just to dash our hopes.
Considering Jason Mamoa is now signed to star in See on Apple TV+ I have doubts there will be another season of Fronteir
