Fuller House arrived on Netflix on Friday, and it appears to be a huge success. The series was a trending topic over the weekend, and now fans are waiting for word on season two of the series.
Reviews for the revival have not been all that great, but Jeff Franklin is not at all worried about the critics. He knows people wanted this revival, and it looks like they want even more of it.
According to MTV, Franklin said the following about the critics:
“When Full House came on the air, the reviews were scathing. We got an F in People magazine. All of the critics hated the show. It wasn’t until Season 4 or 5 that we started to see good reviews. The critics started to lighten up on us. The reviews have not been wonderful on Fuller House so far. I don’t want to say we’re review-proof, but I don’t think our fans really care what the critics have to say. I think the critics are taking the show way too seriously. They’re there to have fun writing scathing reviews — they love that. But they seem to be missing the point that this show is about fun. It’s comfort food. It’s revisiting the past. It’s not to be taken that seriously.”
Franklin is fairly positive that the series will be picked up for a second season. TV Series Finale shared in a previous report that Franklin feels like Netflix will definitely renew Fuller House for a second season.
Did you watch the revival yet? Do you want even more from the Fuller House gang? Tell us what you think.
I loved loved it…made me laugh and cry…hope a second season is in the making
Okay, this is not a deep, meaningful, show, but it’s CUTE, and actually quite funny, and really, whoever expected Full House’s sequel to be Emmy worthy can just go suck an egg, anyway. It’s like a Disney teeny-bopper show, but for adults… a total guilty pleasure, and I will watch season 2.
Decent show. Would be better if we didn’t have to listen to Stephanie sing every other episode. It’s so obvious the writers are letting her use the series to show off her singing. Is she trying to start a singing career? Is she releasing a cd? So lame
I loved full house and now I’m in love with fuller house. I really hope there is a second season and even more seasons to come!
I grew up watching Full House. Fuller House is great! Watching it with my 10 yr old son is even more memories to look back on. Keep it coming!!
Fuller house is amazing!! We need more of a great show like this in our modern society!! Here’s hoping to a season 2 of fuller house!!!
YES PLEASE I CAN’T WAIT FOR FULLER HOUSE SEASON 2. OH MYLANTA CAN’T WAIT AND TO THE CRITICS HOW RUDE!!!
You have to accept that it will be nostalgic. Some of it is saccharine but there is also a different type of writing there that is focused on today’s culture. It’s this mix that makes it appealing. Also, the characters seem a little more rounded than they were when they were younger. I think Kimmy is actually funny this time around, DJ is annoying, but it is very painful watching Stephanie act as a party girl who drinks and has no money – especially after knowing that in real life she battled her own demons with drug addiction. Seeing how… Read more »
I loved the Fuller House and I want more. Are you doing any more?
It’s sweet, cheesy, warm and simple! I love it! So do my kids and I’m not worried they will hear something sexually inappropriate or embarrassingly awkward which is the only thing they get watching Disney nowadays!! Praying and hoping for a sweet 2nd season!!
I beg to differ. There have been quite a few innuendo comments that I don’t think needed to be in there. I’m also a little surprised that Candace Cameron being so conservative is ok with her character being portrayed as a man hungry single mom.
+Shelly:she’s not a man hungry single mom she is stuck in a love triangle she wants to find a new future husband but she still has a ex boyfriend who is still hung up on her after they broke up when she is trying to move on with Matt.and FYI kids are a lot smarter then we give them credit for they know how to use computers at very young ages so the writers of fuller house do not need to be innoncent anymore when it comes to references the show is about the original characters adult lives espeically dj,kimmy… Read more »
+Shanna:I agree there’s a lot worse stuff that could be put in to tv shows. Plus it is never a good idea to shelter kids too much plus the jokes are kind of more for adult humor.
I just watched the first season of fuller house. I thought it was great. I would love to see more of Jesse, Becky, Joey and Danny though.
I enjoy fuller house. I think it was sweat, funny and just enough drama .I cast couldn’t be better I watch full house as a kid and fuller house is just as great!! I would love to to see more of fuller house. Oh and critics how rude!! This show was great from a fan that knows
Yes, we definitely need much more than just a season 2!!!!
I don’t listen to critics anymore because these critics bash practically everything I like. I think they’re just pathetic people that should get a job doing something else since just about everything they critique has a negative response. While fuller house is totally different than what is on tv today, it has the same full house feel in a little more grown up way. (They do have some adult innuendos throughout the episodes) but Coke on the whole plumber scene in episode 5 was pure hysterics! I am loving the series and can’t wait for more, don’t start watching expecting… Read more »
+Joe Palmieri:plus it kind of seems more like the adult humor is put in there for adults to laugh at and there is kid humor for kids to laugh at which makes it a family show.
Forget about what the critics are saying! Fuller House is awesome!
