This season, the large cast includes Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey, Justin Chambers, Chandra Wilson, James Pickens Jr., Sara Ramirez, Kevin McKidd, Jessica Capshaw, Sarah Drew, Jesse Williams, Camilla Luddington, Caterina Scorsone, and Jerrika Hinton.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. i stop watching after the plane crash then i watched dereks death plus new baby addition but its not the same what else can she add many ppl will stop watching since mcdreamy is gone i rather watch the reruns
I agree Mayra. I am done, done, done watching this. Shonda has RUINED it. I hope hope hope that rating plummet and ABC and its affiliates force miss “thang” to take that show off the air. If for nothing else but to show her that the fans DO matter.
they should have cancelled this, years ago, when the plane crashed killing the best characters off. i was soo happy to see Derrick died, figuring maybe now they would end this awful show, full of bad acting and writing, i stopped watching years ago, only wanted to see the series finale, only to see that its been renewed, spend your money elsehwere ABC pls
I so wish we could AAAALLLL contact ABC and is affiliates and do all we can to express our feelings and disgust with shonda and Grey’s and HOPE that they take it off and rip the rug out from under her.
First of all; Hello, and I hope your day is going well. I use to love the show. I’m beig honest here. I feel like it has been the same thing over and over with different actors. I don’t feel it like should continue. Patrick (McDreamy) has left, unless he to will come back from the dead too. ( ths isn’t coming from someone that druls over him. Lets let them go in peace. I was really a loyal fan. No more. I don’t know what Shonda was thinking, but she betrayed her fans in a big way. McDreamy’s death and the subsequent follow-up episode was so sloppy. Better send offs were given to George, Izzie and others, but this one. Horrible. I doubt the show will recover. There is really just no place to go with it. Same here. I had been loyal for 11 yrs too. NO MORE. Yes I was upset when Mark and Lexie (pardon mis-spelling), but there was still Mer/Der. NOW what??? Who do we pull for now??? Done!! I hope the show is forced off the air. It has happened to other TV shows……..can happen to miss “thang” too.

Me too!! I hope MILLIONS stop watching and it is forced off the air. It happens. This poor excuse for a human being is no different. I feel for her staff who she employs. However, I personally think they’d have NO problem finding other much better jobs. Shondaland needs to go to shonda hell.

oh my gosh you so read my mind! the last episode i watched was when Derek died hoping that if enough people would stop watching, the show would be cancelled. My teacher (who watches the show as well) actually said, Grey’s is not a teaching hospital, it’s a morgue and I find that so true.
i am so glad others see it the same way I do. I guess if they lose enough viewers , it will go off the air. Then we can only hope something good will replace it.

I wish about 8 million people would get on board and just all stop watching and force the show to have to end due to viewers being pissed at Shonda and her horrible and very poor choices. Clearly she is unable to be loyal to the fans who MADE her who she is today. She is pathetic!!!!!! Her writing is disgustingly pitiful. This showed should have been over after season 6. I loved it from the very beginning but the new actors are terrible. It used to be light and bright then it turned to dark and dreary. Their hair started looking terrible and it started looking like a daytime soap. I loved all of the originals Grey, Yang, Burke, George, Bailey, Carev, Izzie, and the Denny Douqette episodes were my absolute favorite everyone after McSteamy and little Grey didn’t make the show. I don’t watch as faithfully as I use to. I tape it andwatch when there is nothing I’d rather watch sometimes deleting without watching at all. They have brought to many interesting story lines into the show. But as undedcated I am to this show… I hate How to get away with murder… Way more. This show is all about people with no morals being guided a woman with no feelings for anyone but herself. Cancel this show now!
Ellen(Meredith) needed to mind her own business. Derek’s personal life was not for her to be involved in. Shes the one that help get Derek Fired, I just read that. For sure I won’t watch
The show was wonderful most of the time, but as Shonda Rhimes began to Kill or send away the shows Favorite People, The Love we had for the show began to Fall Away. However, when she killed off Dr. McDreamy (PATRICK DEMPSY) she pretty much ended her long Drama. It was bad enough loosing Little Grey, George, McSteamy, Dr. Yang and a couple of others..but loosing Dr. Shepherd, stuck the nail in the Coffin for Greys Anatomy for me. I could not agree any more. The episode where Derek was killed was soooooooooo sloppily written. My 5 year old step grandson could have written better, and he has a learning disability. Shonda is evil. Clearly she forgot that it was the fans who made her who she is in the first place. Can’t believe Derek was killed. I am hoping that Meredith is dreaming and season 12 will reveal that. I cannot believe the best character was killed off. He made Meredith a better person. He was her ROCK. Why can’t there be a happy ending? Is that not possible with Shonda Rimes? Derek’s sister needs to go! She is a waste of a character. Maybe she shoulda took those oxys! Just saying……

Huge mistake killing Derek off the show. The relationship between Meredith & Derek kept people coming back for more. Can’t think of her name but Derek’s sister can’t come close to a replacement for Derek. My husband and I started watching the show late but I ordered every season we missed to catch up. Needless to say we were shocked & disappointed with the direction the show has now taken. Personally I don’t think it will survive this change.

Its time to end the show. 12th season? They really dragging out what is a good thing, and now it’s becoming extremely boring and dull to watch. They shouldn’t over do it, and end it well it’s still good.
A lot of strong opinions for a tv show. If it is renewed, then the fans can watch and those who don’t want to, don’t have to watch. I still think a lighter touch is needed. Bring back the dead (strong) characters for a few episodes in a 1930s/1940s Topper-like scenario. Lexie and Mark for sure, staring in the lobby at their namesake hospital sign and lending comedic support to Callie and or Meredith. An appearance by Derek and George could follow. I agree 100%. I cannot BELIEVE that there are people who are saying they are “so addicted” to the show. WHY?? I used to be. But shonda went tooooooooooooooooooo far. I wish we could contact ABC and their affiliates and AAAAALLLLLL of us plead with them to take Grey’s off!!!!

Why is this show called “Grey’s Anatomy”?? Meredith’s mother was sick and never made her feel good about herself. Her father was a distant father who showed love for his second family right in her face. When she finally felt that she was ready for a real relationship rather than one night stands she had to find out that Derrick was married. When she met her sister and started a love for her, she was killed. When she finally got a second chance with Derrick, he got killed.
