Netflix is taking Marvel’s Daredevil off the streets. Deadline reports the streaming service has cancelled the TV show after three seasons.
The superhero drama stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer who moonlights as the masked vigilante Daredevil. The cast also includes Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Toby Leonard Moore, Rosario Dawson, Vincent D’Onofrio, and Bob Gunton.
Although Netflix has cancelled the Daredevil series, Marvel says the character will appear in future “adventures.” In fact, the official Daredevil Twitter page posted a response to the cancellation that hints at a future for the masked hero:

I’m really upset about Netflix dropping the Marvel shows. There is so little good television these days and those were some really good ones. I understand Disney owns the franchise and is starting their own streaming network, but I won’t be purchasing it.
Daredevil was easily one of the best shows on Netflix
luke, iron fist, and now daredevil. i love netflix but it is reaching my limit. i will start looking for another provider.

It was not a Netflix Show but a Marvel Show and Since Disney Owns Marvel and They Are Bringing out their own streaming service. It seems right that they would remove their shows. Only time will tell what will happen to them on the Disney Streaming Service. Netflix is just a streaming service and needed the rights to air these shows. i understand that it’s a streaming service , but it’s own the right to stream this show as it’s original series … i know that it cost so much to buy the right to stream this show (as a marvel show) so this is the result especially with the new Disney streaming service that will come out next year , i hope that it will save the series but it’s not easy to transfer the whole series with the same staff for it’s own right . eventually i hope that the series will be saved anyway because i need to… Read more »
Are they going to keep canceling shows. First Iron Fist, then Luke Cage. Now they’re canceling Daredevil? He was like the pioneer to these superhero series. He was also my favorite. Hate what Netflix is doing. Seriously!!!

With Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Now Daredevil all cancelled. I see the future for Jessica Jones and The Punisher Futures are also on the Chopping block. Disney will hopefully continue to produce these shows but will probably hold back on what Netflix has done with them. Doubt They will be as good on the Disney Streaming service.
