What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the NBC television network, Midnight, Texas stars François Arnaud, Dylan Bruce, Parisa Fitz-Henley, Arielle Kebbel, Jason Lewis, Peter Mensah, Sarah Ramos, and Yul Vázquez. Based on the book series of the same name, from True Blood author Charlaine Harris, the supernatural drama plays out in the remote Texas town of Midnight, where nothing is what it seems. There, only outsiders belong, while normality is just plain weird. It is the best haven for people who need to hide from the world at large. The townies come together to form a sort of chosen family. Together they fend off external pressures from nosy police officers, vicious biker gangs, and their own dark pasts.
Season One Ratings

Telly’s Take
Midnight, Texas was originally supposed to premiere in the mid-season, but in the end, the Peacock network held it for summer. What’s more — they only ordered ten episodes. While none of that adds up to anything definitive, it could indicate that they have less faith in the series. The ratings have not been very good so I suspect that the show will be cancelled. What do you think? Are you glad that Midnight, Texas has been renewed for a second season? How would you have felt if NBC had cancelled this TV series, instead?
Don’t cancel this show. It’s totally different from anything I normally watch. Can’t believe I actually watch it,but I love it!
I love this show.. Midnight Texas is Awesome show. I hope there is a season 2. The actors are great.
I love Midnight Texas%! I’ve been hooked on the show from the beginning, and there’s not many network shows, if any that I give that credit too. I’m very picky about what I watch & if I keep watching a show & can’t wait for Mondays at 9pm. to come, than you got me!! NBC, please don’t cancel Midnight Texas!!!! I’m a gay woman & also somewhat of an introvert, so I can really relate to this show about being different, yet living in a place where you get looked down on%!!!❤❤❤#MIDNIGHT TEXAS!
Love the show.
I usually don’t watch this kind of show but I’m hooked. I love it.
Will be really mad and disappointed if it is cancelled.
Love this show…..please renew……
Please do not cancel the show it one of the best shows on TV this year. It will be a big mistake to cancel it my whole family watches it and we have 8 in my house my sister and her family watch it. Everytime there’s a great show on TV it gets one season then its cancelled. I for one am tried of that. There is not a show on TV that is like this and it’s a very great show please please please don’t cancel it
I love this show and try to watch it every Monday night
They need to hurry up and make a new season this show is addictive and everyone I tell about the show get hooked might need more advertisement or if the show went to cw or amc or fox it definitely will meet expectations nbc is known for just checking news!!!
Please don’t cancel or have hbo pick it up so it can get edgier just don’t cancel I have needed a tru blood fix
Please please please don’t cancel this show. I love it and have been hooked since the first episode. It’s filling a big black void for me since a lot of my favourite fantasy shows have finished up for good. I need this please 🙂 Lizzie
Too many politically correct quotas! The supernatural stuff is good, but not enough to overcome the underlying indoctrination!
Of course they’ll cancel it. It’s fun. They’ll keep Law and Order SVU for it’s millionth season or bring back Will and Grace rather than keep something new and original and FUN. It’s what the Big Three do which is why I watch cable channels or streaming channels almost exculsively now.
As a Gay man, I can certainly relate to the relationship of Joe and Chey. In today’s society, being in a same-sex relationship marks someone as being an outsider. With Midnight’s appreciation of outsiders (both human and supernatural), I strongly identify with the mixed bag of characters that bring this show to life. Midnight reminds people about the humanity of everyone in society. This show also highlights and celebrates the idea of “chosen families.” The idea of chosen families is a reality for the LGBT community and certainly resonates with me on a deep level. As a fan of long-time… Read more »
Loved it! It’s bringing me back to NBC so don’t screw-up and not renew it for Season 2
