Do you watch Ransom? The CBS TV series wraps up its first season tonight, April 15th. Should the network renew the show for a second season? Would you watch another round of episodes?
The drama follows Eric Beaumont (Luke Roberts), an experienced crisis and hostage negotiator, and his team who are brought in to save lives when no one else can. The cast also includes Brandon Jay McLaren, Nazneen Contractor, and Sarah Greene.
Ransom‘s ratings have been low over the course of its freshman season. Currently, the Saturday show is averaging a 0.44 rating in the 18-49 demo and 3.52 million viewers, making it CBS’ lowest-rated series for the 2016-2017 season.
However, not all shows live or die by their ratings and this may be one of them. Ransom is an international production, which means the show costs less for CBS. If another season is produced by the production company, would the network purchase it? We’ll have to wait and see.

My husband and I loved the series and would definitely watch again! It needs a better slot and more advertising.
Please do not cancel this great show, with wonderful acting and storylines. CBS could give this show a better time slot and more advertising to keep it going and pick up more of an audience. It’s a smart show, one of the better ones out there on any network.
Please renew Ransom. Saturday nights are so boring without being able to watch Ransom and I really enjoyed getting to watch Eric do the things he does. Would love to find out what happens to his daughter.
Keep it on the air. Very few shows are this brilliant and without the violence. Eric Beaumont handles incredibly difficult situations incredibly well. He’s a modern day Jesus.
Please renew Ransom. Saturday evening is not a good time slot to give a new show a chance to succeed. Possibly moving it to another night will help it succeed.

Ransom is one of my all time favorite shows. I would definitely watch Season 2. I was disappointed that Season 1 only had 13 episodes. Please do not cancel.
