Do you watch Ransom? The CBS TV series wraps up its first season tonight, April 15th. Should the network renew the show for a second season? Would you watch another round of episodes?
The drama follows Eric Beaumont (Luke Roberts), an experienced crisis and hostage negotiator, and his team who are brought in to save lives when no one else can. The cast also includes Brandon Jay McLaren, Nazneen Contractor, and Sarah Greene.
Ransom‘s ratings have been low over the course of its freshman season. Currently, the Saturday show is averaging a 0.44 rating in the 18-49 demo and 3.52 million viewers, making it CBS’ lowest-rated series for the 2016-2017 season.
However, not all shows live or die by their ratings and this may be one of them. Ransom is an international production, which means the show costs less for CBS. If another season is produced by the production company, would the network purchase it? We’ll have to wait and see.

Finale to be seen …in Britain. But have seen spoilers…. CBS can’t leave audiences at this point the story must conclude …… the back stories on many modern series on TV are so important yet in this serial you have made little of those opportunities. So developed those, complete this story line, and show how the answers to the problem are solved through the programme give more clues ….to allow audience to take part in the story # could be a competition on figuring out how the problem be solved. Randsom was a good show I think excecutives made decisions about new shows too quickly
The best shows are too often cancelled. It would be great to see s season 2. Get it together CBS. Run it in prime time.
Yes, I would def. watch a season two of Ransom. I love this show & the actors starring in it. Why would CBS even consider cancelling this decent show!!!!!!!
Maybe its too “international” for the u.s.a’s taste, probably don’t help that a pom (the dude that portrays Eric) is showing them how’s its done either….I reckons its an awesome series, it’d be a bummer if its cancelled, maybe if you make Eric’s character wear his pants halfway down his backside and get him to “rap” ransom demands, they’ll sit up and take note! No offence Trump!
We loved it! It was very thought provoking; however, having it on Saturday evening at 7pm CT could have something to do with the ratings. We’d give it a 9 and hopefully enough fans will write in.
