It’s the end of the road for Rush Hour. According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS has cancelled the series after one season.
Based on the popular film franchise with Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, Rush Hour stars Justin Hires as an LAPD detective who teams up with a detective from Hong Kong (Jon Foo). Wendie Malick, Aimee Garcia, and Page Kennedy also star.
Only seven episodes in, Rush Hour has not performed strongly in the ratings. So far, season one has received an average of .92 in the 18-49 demo and around 4.6 million viewers.
Hires confirmed the news on Twitter:

Renew the series, it just takes a second year 4 people 2 get onboard. Remember Hawaii 5-0, it take older people 2 get accustom 2 new faces . I Had 2 2 convince them 2 give Hawaii 5-0 another chance, now they love it! Not 2 mention date change!
I enjoyed the show. Thought it had a similar vibe to the action comedy chemistry found in Scorpion
funny the rating were looking good till they moved the show to Saturday then they dropped looks like a cbs mistake not rush hour and the show deserves a second season do to cbs’s mistake of moving it

Sad it’s canceled, one of the very few shows I enjoyed that’s in English lol I hardly watch anything that is on American tv anymore!!!

I will never watch another CBS show given that they cancelled Rush Hour which is one of the few shows that showed chemistry among the actors. CBS deserves to go bankrupt from cancel shows when they only keep trash on and cancel good shows.

Too bad . it is probably better than the Fox reboot of Lethal Weapon. The Mel Gibson role should have gone to Chriss Angel : his younger brother from another mother . . He already knows how to escape a straight jacket . and Chriss already has the signature do .
