In its first season, the Teachers TV show drew some very low ratings for TV Land but the comedy was renewed for a second season anyway. Will the numbers improve this time around or, will they drop lower? Will Teachers be cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned.
A single-camera comedy, the Teachers TV show is based on a web series of the same name from The Katydids improv group. The series revolves around six elementary school teachers who are trying to mold young minds — but their own lives aren’t really together. It stars Caitlin Barlow, Katy Colloton, Cate Freedman, Kate Lambert, Katie O’Brien, and Kathryn Thomas.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

For comparison: The first season of Teachers on TV Land averaged a 0.14 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 409,000 viewers (live + same day ratings).
Cable ratings are typically released within a day or so of the show’s airing, except for in the case of weekends and holidays. They are sometimes harder to come by so there may be occasional delays or gaps.

This show substitutes speed of action (it’s frantic) for humor. It’s incredibly stupid and should be cancelled.
Teachers has a frantic pace which tries to make up for absolutely stupid “humor” with pure speed. This show should have died after season 1. I just watched the episode where a kid has head lice. It was fantastically idiotic. Cancel this dog.

I’m a teacher and I love this show! I realize that it is not supposed to reflect real teachers and their experiences, it’s comedy, riffing on what teachers and students go through.

This is coming from a lower class middle aged white man who cusses, smokes, drinks, doesn’t go to church, likes Heavy Metal music and dirty jokes. TV Land, you’ve lost your mind. Teachers is not funny, it’s sick. Sick.

If teachers set out to irritate people with really unfunny, banal humor, it has succeeded in a big way. I’ve watched a few episodes and its mainstay is the non sequitur. I don’t know how you devote half an episode to the subject of cockroach killing. This is a series that needs to be put out of its misery.

In the stressful world we live in today, it’s great to watch a hilarious show like Teachers to just laugh.
I find this show offensive. When a teacher is shown brushing her cleavage with a blush brush, and a young student says when called on: “makes them look bigger” is child pornography, even if child actors are involved. It is not funny. If I found a teacher doing this in front of actual students, I would do my best to get them fired. And yes, I am a woman, a teacher, a college instructor and attorney. Don’t tell me you’re liberated when you sell yourself so cheaply.
