A medieval drama set in 14th century Wales, The Bastard Executioner follows Wilkin Brattle (Lee Jones). He was a Knight during King Edward the First’s reign and is a deeply spiritual man. He wants to settle down and live the quiet life of a farmer but it’s not to be. The rest of the cast includes Stephen Moyer, Matthieu Charneau, Katey Sagal, Flora Spencer-Longhurst, Kurt Sutter, Sam Spruell, Darren Evans, Danny Sapani, Timothy V. Murphy, Sarah White, Sarah Sweeny, Ethan Griffiths, and Ross O’Hennessy.

Just a terrible show. Glad that some real work can be started again now.
The 2nd season would have examined a sore subject for a certain political institution of which I am a member but had no fear of having the subject examined. The plot and cast are first rate. There were so many directions for the 2nd season especially to see the birth of Wilkin and Lady Love’s son. Or how about Wilkin’s one night hook-up producing the real child of the blood. This show was amazing. Better to have had a little than none at all.

Seriously!? I just got my friend hooked! I watched every episode as it aired, and DVR’d it all as well and she has been over watching it with me. I loved rewatching! I’m so sad that you have cancelled this show! I’m so sick of all the fake hollywood hype over people with shows who have ZERO talent, and you take away something worth watching!? Please reconsider!?
I truly enjoyed the series. I am so disappointed it was not renewed. I love the medieval shows such a pity. So frustrating to get into a series and be left hanging.
Really enjoyed it and had no idea that it was cancelled. I am done with watching new series and they get cancelled after the first season. Once again I was left hanging by a series. What a dissapointment.

It should be renewed the characters have depth, with meaningful acting.
I am very upset and surprised the Bastar d Executioner was cancelled. I love the show, the actors, the character they portrayed. I am a grown person who appreciates good programming, instead of shows like Modern Family or The Bang Theory. Or all the Bachelor or Bachelorate.
My husband and I enjoyed the show. I agree it did start off slow but then got going. I too enjoy historical series. I hope it will be renewed .
We loved both shows SOA and Bastar d Executioner ~~~ I am sorry it is gone I have been DVR ing it and watching when I have time ~~~ my daughter and her family have been watching ~~a lot of people didn’t know it was on ~~~~please continue the show somewhere else!!!

The show was fine. Enjoyed watching it when I could remember to logon and watch from my phone because we cut the cord. That probably has a lot to do with it having a hard time finding viewers. Not everyone is into biker-lore, but there are huge populations into historical drama, but if you don’t pay for the outrageous cable prices – not to mention the raping you get on the equipment you can only rent, then you didn’t even know the show was on.
