A medieval drama set in 14th century Wales, The Bastard Executioner follows Wilkin Brattle (Lee Jones). He was a Knight during King Edward the First’s reign and is a deeply spiritual man. He wants to settle down and live the quiet life of a farmer but it’s not to be. The rest of the cast includes Stephen Moyer, Matthieu Charneau, Katey Sagal, Flora Spencer-Longhurst, Kurt Sutter, Sam Spruell, Darren Evans, Danny Sapani, Timothy V. Murphy, Sarah White, Sarah Sweeny, Ethan Griffiths, and Ross O’Hennessy.

I hope Kurt Sutter changes his mind and does season 2 of the Bastar d Executioner. It was a good story, good story line. If you give it another season I’m sure it will pick up the ratings. Please consider this for your devoted fans
Why cancel it? Sounds like a lot of people, including me, enjoyed the series! It was educational as well as entertaining. I loved the show and wish it would be re-newed!
It’s too bad that they cancelled it. I was one that was reluctant to watch SOA and waited until about the 3rd season before I started watching. This became my new favorite and I’ve watched the start to finish of it about 3 times. I wanted to watch the B*stard Executioner because it was written by Kurt Sutter. However, if they’re going to give up after one season my respect for a wonderful writer just dropped because it shows that he doesn’t believe in what he does. Truly, I will miss the B*stard Executioner. I can agree that the B*stard Executioner is nothing like SOA, but those two shows are on different ends of the studio. Different eras. How could one be so blind as to not see how good the B*stard Executioner was? The reason for the cancellation was the comparasion of the two shows. I really don’t think the show was given a fair chance.
U can’t cancel this is absolutely ridiculous setting the standards so high because of what happened with sons of anarchy maybe if you’d actually given the showtime a lot of people are addicted to the show after one season I know I was one of them how could you just cancel it the one season it at least deserves the season to Sutter is a genius when it comes to writing
Nooooo! Please don’t cancel! I loved this show! My bf who is a die hard SOA fan made sure to watch *******! Change the airtime if you need to, but don’t cancel it!
I think it well deserved a season 2….story line was addicting….ended so well…I blame FX for it’s poor advertising…or was it pressure from a government that treated Wales, Scotland, and Ireland so wrong through its history and doesn’t like to be reminded of it……….
I saved the last episode in anticipation of the next season. There are so many characters with unfinished stories now.
PLEASE renew for another season. The Bastar d Executioner is an amazing stand out in a sea of shows that are all the same storyline just set in another city/time
It was a badass show. Why would you for any reason cancel just when the storyline was just getting really intense?
