The ratings have down quite a bit but FOX wants more of The Last Man on Earth. The network has renewed their new Sunday night sitcom for a second season.

All-New Episode Airs This Sunday, April 12, on FOX
FOX has picked up comedy series THE LAST MAN ON EARTH for a second season, it was announced today by David Madden, President, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company.
“We knew we had something special with THE LAST MAN ON EARTH. It’s one of those rare shows that continues to add depth and dimension to its unique premise, week after week,” said Madden. “We are so thrilled that this incredibly bold, original and inventive series has been embraced by both fans and critics, and we cannot wait to see where the creative genius and inspired vision of Will, Phil and Chris take us in Season Two.”
In the next all-new, special one-hour episode of THE LAST MAN ON EARTH, “The Do-Over/Pranks for Nothin’,” airing Sunday, April 12 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX, Phil Miller (Will Forte) finally has some good fortune headed his way.
THE LAST MAN ON EARTH is this season’s No. 1 new comedy among Adults 18-34 and Men 18-49. It also ranks No. 1 in its Sunday (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) time period among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens.
From writer/producer Will Forte (“Nebraska,” “Saturday Night Live”) and directors/producers Chris Miller and Phil Lord (“The Lego Movie,” “21 Jump Street”), THE LAST MAN ON EARTH chronicles the life and adventures of Phil Miller (Forte), an average guy – and humanity’s last hope – who discovers what life is like when no one is telling you what you can and cannot do. The series also stars Kristen Schaal, January Jones and Mel Rodriguez.
THE LAST MAN ON EARTH is produced by 20th Century Fox Television. The series is created and written by Will Forte. The pilot is directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller. One of the best shows i have seen. So, so, so funny. I want the second season to be with more episodes, please.
I am very HAPPY that this show was renewed for a second season. I have teenagers and they typically don’t like to watch T.V. with me. If you have teenagers you might know what I’m talking about?
But, we all sit together and watch this show.

OMG. I had a huge hopes for this series. Unfortunately they were shattered by over-the-top and terrible acting. For some reason the TV critics seem to like it, but when you read the user reviews they tend to share my opinion. Mostly they have one star because you have to put down some rating and one is as low as you can go.
Watched the first six or seven? episodes of this show. Tried to stay with it but found the main character unworthy of my interest. This show is a “on trick pony”. I had hopes but in the end the guys a prick. Many a man and woman has gotten married only to find that he found another model he was sexually attracted to. That’s why most of us close our eyes when we make love. All I can say is GET A GRIP!
It’s a TV comedy not a documentary. You’re thinking to much and not enjoying.

I am 60 years young and i love it. I haven’t laughed this hard in a long time! I am thrilled another season started, and i hope the writers keep it up for many more!!!
It’s so hard to watch and that’s why we love it so much.
My husband and I are very happy about the show being renewed. We love the originality and the pure corn of it! The characters are hilarious. We look forward to each new episode. Our ages are 58 and 63. When will the new season start?
I read a recent interview where the show creator/star Will Forte clearly stated this show was NOT supposed to go beyond one season. I like the show a lot, but I was pleased to believe it was a “one-and-done” with everything wrapped up by the last episode. I am VERY tired of shows being renewed and dragged out into more seasons than they should have by the same greedy networks who also cancel good shows long before they deserve. I really like Last Man On Earth. I’m in my 60’s and love a good random comedy. Very happy that it’s renewed.
well, I liked the show from the start, My wife, not so much. But when I made her watch the second episode she was hooked. We really lik the show, glad that it’s been renewed.
I love the show glad to hear there’s , more to come. The. Series. Is new and makes you think About what ifs in life and comedy at the same time.
