Earlier today, it was announced that the Tyrant TV show had been cancelled after three seasons. Tonight’s finale is also the last episode. The cancellation doesn’t come as much of a surprise but, would you watch a fourth season on a channel other than FX?
Tyrant revolves around the youngest son of a dictator who returns to his war-torn country in the Middle-East with his American family. This season, the drama’s cast includes Adam Rayner, Jennifer Finnigan, Moran Atias, Ashraf Barhom, Noah Silver, Alexander Karim, Cameron Gharaee, Melia Kreiling, and Chris Roth.
The series debuted back in June 2014 to a 0.61 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.1 million viewers. While the demo remained relatively steady during the first season, viewership fell off quite a bit. The first season ended up averaging a 0.55 rating with 1.55 million.
The second season of Tyrant saw a big drop and averaged a 0.37 rating with 1.18 million. The third season has fallen further still. It’s currently averaging a 0.20 demo rating with 791,000 viewers.
With such weak ratings, it’s no surprise that FX decided to cancel the series. However, there’s still a possibility that there could be a fourth season elsewhere.
In a statement, Fox 21 Television Studios President Bert Salke, said, “We feel the show is a gem and we’d love to find a way to keep it in production. That said, we want to be realistic about its prospects. So for its loyal audience, tonight’s episode will be a satisfying end should the series not find another home, but also provides interesting possibilities should we be able to continue on some other platform.”

I love this show , I hope the great 2 mothers in the show would have a happy ending, not like the ep10 so called finale one.
Please do not cancel this show! I have enjoyed all 3 seasons and each week have waited anxiously for the next show. The acting is excellent and though there are adult situations they are tastefully done. Please find a way to bring it back!

They announced the night of the last episode that the show was being CANCELLEED! Should there have been more notice? Absolutely They owed it to the fans.
They can not end the show this wqy. Did the writers write themselves in to a corner? What a great show.
Wtf. It can’t end like that I look forward to it every time. It’s an awesome show someone please pick it back up

Definitely want more. Find a new home! I thought the third season was much stronger than the second and great possibilities for further.
Don’t cancel this show. Finally find something interesting to watch and it gets cancelled. Whats going on here? People with thinking minds actually have a hard time finding anything of substance to watch. Tyrant was not only well acted but well written. Actually looked forward to each show. What a real bummer. But lets keep all the airheads happy with the stupid stuff on tv, that will surely keep me from turning on my set. I’ve been wanting to drop my cable now it’s getting easier to make that move.
