The fat lady is finally warming up for the fine folks at the BAU. CBS has announced it has renewed the long-running Criminal Minds TV show for a 15th and final season. As of now the plan is for the final season to consist of just 10 episodes, which will cap the series off with an impressive total of 325. Variety reports they will shoot, “back to back” with the 14th season, which is currently in production.
A CBS law enforcement procedural, Criminal Minds stars Joe Mantegna, Paget Brewster, Matthew Gray Gubler, A.J. Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, Adam Rodriguez, Daniel Henney, and Aisha Tyler. The crime drama follows the FBI’s elite Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) out of Quantico, Virginia. The BAU remains dedicated to understanding predators’ motive and triggers, in order to stop them before they strike again.
Criminal Minds: A Look at the Ratings
The 14th season of Criminal Minds is averaging a 0.75 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.68 million viewers. Compared to season 13, that’s down by 24% and 18%, respectively. Find out how Criminal Minds stacks up against the other CBS TV shows.

The show has also not been without controversy during its run. Most recently, Variety exclusively reported that the show’s long-time director of photography, Greg St. Johns, had faced multiple accusations of abusive behavior and sexual harassment towards crew members. St. Johns has since left the production. Prior to that, series star Thomas Gibson was fired from the show after an on-set altercation with a producer.

Criminal Minds is my favorite TV series. I watch the reruns too. I’m sad that it’s ending. The characters are unique and it just keeps getting better each season.
This is a show that I can not get enough of I watch reruns all day on Mondays and Tuesdays on ION TV. Then I watch the running series. Please keep it going…This is one program that is life like and keeps you want more. Better then some CBS programs.. I won’t say their name .. but some of the drama programs need to go. Thanks.

I love this program and will miss it a lot. It is one of the best shows on TV.
I love criminal minds it’s one of the best shows I’ve ever watched, I’m sad that it is ending and I wish it wasn’t. I’ve always known Reid and AJ has always loved one another. I wish you guys wasnt making season 15 the last show. Everyone is saying how bad the last few seasons was and they are so wrong. It’s just now getting really good and you guys are gonna cancel it soooooo not right. You should keep it going this is an all time favorite show.
First Derek Morgan left, then Aaron Hotchner. The people who replaced them were weak characters. As if that wasn’t bad enough, Spencer Reid spent the second half of season 12 in prison. It was very disturbing to watch. Now, at the end of Season 13, they’re hinting at a romance between Reid and AJ. This was my all time favorite show, but the past few seasons it hasn’t been up to par.
The show was good with Hotch, Prentiss is flat as a leader. AJ is my favorite.
