Dr. Phil McGraw and CBS Television Distribution (CTD) have further extended the life of the syndicated Dr. Phil TV show, through the year 2020. Previously, Dr. Phil had been extended to a 15th season, i.e. through the 2016-2017 television year.
CTD says, “Currently in its 14th season, Dr. Phil is averaging 4.4 million viewers. Dr. Phil has been the highest-rated daytime talk show for the past four years. For the previous nine seasons, it ranked behind only the The Oprah Winfrey Show.”

LOS ANGELES – October 20, 2015 – Dr. Phil McGraw, host and executive producer of the #1 rated daytime talk show DR. PHIL, has extended his deal with CBS Television Distribution through 2020, it was announced today by Armando Nuñez, President and CEO of CBS Global Distribution Group.

Currently in its 14th season, DR. PHIL is averaging 4.4 million viewers. DR. PHIL has been the highest-rated daytime talk show for the past four years. For the previous nine seasons, it ranked behind only the “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”

PHIL show has received 27 Emmy nominations and won 5 PRISM Awards, for the accurate depiction of drug, alcohol and tobacco abuse and addiction, as well as the MADD Media Award. In addition, The Alliance for Women in Media, sponsors of the Gracie Award, named after Gracie Allen, has honored DR. PHIL four times.
