GLOW just debuted its third season on August 9th, but will there be a fourth? Recently, co-creators Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about the future of the Netflix TV show.
The dramedy follows Ruth Wilder (Alison Brie), a struggling out-of-work actress as she auditions for, trains and eventually makes the first-ever women’s wrestling TV show. The cast also includes Betty Gilpin, Sydelle Noel, Jackie Tohn, Britney Young, Kia Stevens, Gayle Rankin, Sunita Mani, Marianna Palka, Kimmy Gatewood, Rebekka Johnson, Kate Nash, Britt Baron, Marc Maron, Chris Lowell, Rich Sommer, and Bashir Salahuddin.
In the interview, Mensch and Flahive revealed Netflix has not yet renewed GLOW for a fourth season but they have more story planned:
Flahive: We would love to demand more story!
Mensch: We would love for us and the fans, as needed, to help us demand it.”
Flahive continued, saying they want the opportunity to create a satisfying ending for GLOW:
We’d love to have the opportunity to give the show a satisfying ending.
The truth is that we’re so fortunate with this group of people making this show. When you have this kind of an orchestra, you want to keep playing. It’s a wonderful group of people to work with both in front [of] and behind the camera. It’s so fun and healthy and satisfying and that’s no small thing. We feel very fortunate and that’s another thing — we all really love going to work and we’d like to keep going to work.”
What do you think? Do you watch GLOW? Do you want a fourth season?
Yes, I would like to see a 4th season of GLOW. The last season left things hanging.
Netflix tv at its best! SEASON 4, 5…..!
