Heartland isn’t leaving anytime soon. Recently, CBC announced the TV show has been renewed for a 12th season.
The Canadian drama, which airs on UP in the U.S., follows a young woman (Marshall) who has a natural gift with horses. The cast also includes Graham Wardle, Michelle Morgan, Chris Potter, Alisha Newton, Shaun Johnston, Kerry James, Gabriel Hogan, and Nathaniel Arcand.
It’s unclear if UP will pick up season 12 of Heartland for the U.S., though it seems likely. Read CBC‘s renewal announcement below:
Friends & Fans, we can happily confirm that, yes, there will indeed be a twelfth season of Heartland on CBC!
There was much optimism and hopefulness that there would be another season of the longest running one-hour dramatic series in Canadian television history, but now it’s 100% confirmed!
A lot of preparation is going on, at this moment, to get ready for the start of filming. There will be many photos from set and loads of information about the new season for everyone to digest. But today there is one main message only, and that message is: Heartland will be back!
You’ve seen the photo at the top of today’s blog before, but it seems appropriate to share it again. It was taken on one of the last production days of season 11, and it shows the cast & crew who are responsible for the actual filming of Heartland. They’ll be returning, including all the lead cast members, when filming starts in a little over a month from now.

I binged watched all 11 seasons between Netflix and I subscribed to UP ! It has taken me about 3 months to watch all 11 seasons . I have told a number of my friends about it . I love the show and am so glad to find out it’s gonna be renewed!!

I’m from Garden Grove, California and I just can’t get enough of Heartland. I started out on the Fire stick and watched season 1 to season 9, then I had to go to Hulu and watched season 10 and then had to go to UP to watch all of season 11. Heartland is my favorite show and has been since the beginning, I have taped every episode from every season. But what is the holdup for season 12 and 13? Looks like they have been viewing in Canada since March. What is the holdup with UP? Has been my favorite network, but a year without new Heartland? Please! Can’t wait

Heartland is the best TV series I seen for all ages in a long time. We in the USA need show like this instead of so many crime and silly sitcoms. I am thankful to Netflix and Up for bring this to the USA
